| 10/3/2008 | parent | I have 6 children who have attended this school and I would recommend this school to any parent. The teachers and staff are great! The receptionists that work in the office are awesome. Carol C is my favorite because she is very knowledgeable and friendly and has done numerous work in helping my children succeed. I am suggesting to the PTC committee that the school obtain a cross guard. My wife and I have to cross our children everyday because we don t trust that drivers will always stop for the children. Sincerely, Mr & Mrs Rocha |
| 5/6/2007 | parent | I have 2 kids that attend this school. My oldest is in 4th grade and has been ther since Kindergarten, I have loved it there. The teachers are awesome! I have only had 1 problem with a teacher, and the Principal & Vice Principal helped me out immediately and are still involved with how my kids are doing. The staff at Mineral King is helpful and supportive. Mineral King also has a PTC that does alot for the students, and each year they come up with ways to make things better! I will surely miss Mr. Mata next year, a big Thank You & Good Luck goes out to him! |
| 3/12/2007 | parent | All 3 of my kid have gone or are still attending. I do believe that our Principal Mr.Mata is one of the best ones we have encountered, ( we have been to 2 other schools). He has made it possible for all kids to succeed in there education and has made a point of knowing there names. Our parent and student participation help has grown over the years we have been there for 7 years and I do believe it makes a difference. We have a wonderful Parent Teacher Club who believe in our students, teachers, principal and vice principal. We are all working hard for the education of the children. We are working hard on the safety for our children it has been brought to our attention about some of the areas for pick up, and we are working on the steps to making it safer for everyone and its working. |
| 9/9/2006 | parent | Mineral King has a great staff. They are always wanting students to succeed. More parents do need to get involved with their students but that cannot be the schools fault. There is a great Parent Teacher Club that does numerous activities through out the year to bring families together. As a child I went to Mineral King, and know my children attend. I highly recommend Mineral King, and the great teachers that are trying their best to help their students succeed, but they need more parent involvement to be a success, not complaints. Traffic issues while picking up and dropping off students. many parents do not pay attention to the safety of all children in the school zone, they are just worried about being the closest to the gate, if it means parking in the middle of a cross walk, to double parking and letting their kids dart between traffic. |
| 5/3/2006 | parent | Mineral king is a older school, parkimg is bad. Parent involment is bad real bad! but...It's all about the teacher good teachers that really care. Mrs.Leon vice prin will help out anyone that needs it she goes out of her way. Mr.Mata is the same. Great school.Great people work there. Thanks julie |
| 10/28/2005 | parent | My son loves this school. The teachers really care about their students. |
| 8/26/2004 | parent | My son was only there for 1/2 a year (thank God!). We did hold him back after his experience there and with his teacher. He told me he would spend lunch period sitting atop the slide to watch all the kids fight. He had zero homework and was graded very low because his teacher was too lazy to follow-up on him or any other student. My other son had a great teacher, but that didn't outweigh the school environment. Be a hands on parent in this school! |
