| 5/12/2010 | other | Cape gets a bit of a bad rep in the media. However, in my four years at CHHS, I found it to be a place of dedicated teachers and functional administration. Of course, like every school, there is room for improvement, but Cape is not a school to scoff at. |
| 4/27/2009 | parent | Despite the previous negative reviews, this school is excellent and has a good educational environment. Those who feel negatively about the institution have no legitimate reason to feel this way. There is a large choice of classes and the school has an exceptional Honors/Advanced Placement (AP) program. |
| 4/27/2009 | student | I feel that this school is safe and supportive. |
| 12/18/2008 | parent | It's just heartbreaking..not even worth reviewing. The School has lost it's entire upper tier of students to charter schools. Everyone escapes if they can. Some excellent students remain because there is no alternative for everyone. It's hard to be negative but if you pay attention to statistics and student/parent feedback there just isn't much to get excited about. The new high school might bring some incentive to improve things. But it's the same old people making the decisions. |
| 9/1/2008 | parent | This school to horrible for slpecial education. They pick favorites and treat children through negative reenforcement instead of positive reenforcement. Safety is a huge issue also as they mix the age groups and place younger children around more experienced aged children. Children are not taken individually which is needed to perform a position that works with children with special needs. If they do not have the correct placement, your child is place in the incorrect placement and struggles through out the year without notice to parents. |
| 5/8/2005 | student | This school is great for any student, from highly gifted to needing special education. The school does its best to maintain high grade standards for all students. The school provides a wide range of classes for students pursuing different interests. For the junior and senoir students, the school does very well for preparing students for college. They offer AP classes in all core subjects, counselers who offer all the help that students need, and offer many local scholarships. the music and sport programs are exceptional. The music (band and choir) program continues to be rated supirior at all competitions they go to. The sports also win many district and state titles every year. Lastly, the school has an excellent JROTC program for any student wanting to join the military. |
