| 10/13/2011 | parent | I am very happy with this school and all the teachers and staff there. My son has been at the school for two years, and I really have nothing but good things to say. My son is in first grade now, and I love knowing that he will be at the same school until he is in eighth grade. Hopefully, by then there will be a high school as well. |
| 10/3/2011 | parent | We are very pleased with the teachers, the school, the Principal and every one involved. My children love the school, they are very happy and really learning so much! |
| 10/2/2011 | parent | Very satisfied with SLI. Very responsive administration, great parent involvement, and my daughter is extremely happy there. Glad to find a place she can remain through Middle School |
| 8/28/2011 | teacher | Imagine Schools at South Lake is the most wonderful school I have ever taught at. We have such great teamwork and I truly love the way everyone has a say in how our school operates. I spend so much time there, not even thinking sometimes about looking at the clock. Even under new administrative leadership, the transition has been smooth, and it still feels like a family atmosphere. If you live in Lake County, this is the school you want your children to go to. It's one of a kind!! |
| 9/17/2010 | parent | Certain teachers cross personal boundaries that should not be crossed. Teachers should be held to a higher standard to ensure their relationship with the children is strictly professional! I understand you will form a band with children during a school year but that bond should still maintain a professional level not a personal level. Teachers try to get to involved in the personal lives of students and parents and basically put their noses where they dont belong. They openly express personal opinions when it is not their place to do so. They have no right to cross these lines and they leave their professionalism in question. |
| 8/4/2010 | parent | We are a new family to the state and my son was a new kindergarten student to school and we could have not asked for a better setting, structure and school. My son loved attendng school and I loved being part of the family of Imagine South Lake. Keep up the good work. |
| 5/18/2010 | parent | The teachers are wonderful, my kids are all happy, they are also A students, we love the principle too. I wouldn't change a thing. |

| 4/11/2010 | parent | Great school, great teachers, small family oriented, my kids are happy, learning and getting good grades, what else can I say? |
| 10/25/2009 | parent | Every once in a while a group comes together that has that 'x' factor and we at SLC are lucky to have it. It's easy to see why SLC has climbed from a C to an A school The principal is a one-of-a-kind motivator and the instructors brilliantly combine teaching techniques with their life experiences making learning fun and effective. What a great school!! |
| 10/22/2009 | parent | My son has been at the school for 5 years. He loves the teachers and the many friends he has made over the years. I love that they have an open policy; I can visit any day or time, the teachers and staff are always friendly and welcoming. I tahas been a very positive experience for my child and that is priceless. |

| 10/20/2009 | parent | South Lake Charter Elementary School We are a big family taking care of our kids. |
| 10/19/2009 | parent | South Lake Charter is a great school! We have been here since the beginning and my daughter has continued to excel in her studies as well as her social skills. I believe that we made the right choice in choosing SLC, especially when there were other schools to choose from. |
| 10/18/2009 | parent | Great school, great teachers and staff! Love the small school atmosphere. |
| 10/17/2009 | parent | After 4 years at the school I was disappointed in how things were progressing. It took just as many years to get an an 'A' The children lost the use of the multi purpose room which is now called 'imagine hall' and is for classrooms for the middle school. So they ate lunch in the classroom. I felt the teacher was phoning it in and wasnt communicating with me on the needs of my child. The class didnt have a math workbooks all year and just used copies -- and the school needed donations of paper. Seems things were geared more to the MS then the elementry children and The final straw was the condition of the campus - the school is only 4 years old and it looked awful before the end of the year. |
| 10/16/2009 | parent | Imagine South Lake is a safe and caring school for our children. The school encourages parents to be involved, and parents and teachers work well together to support our children. |
| 10/16/2009 | parent | South Lake Charter's teachers and staff really put forth a lot of effort to show how much they care for each child. They strongly encourage parental involvement and everyone seems to get along beautifully! I am very impressed by the private school touch it portrays! |
| 10/15/2009 | parent | South Lake Charter Elementary School is a top rated school that offers encouragement and motivation for all ages k through 8th grade. It offers students ways to help and support their classmates to develop high quality values throughout life. I am proud of all the teachers, parents and principle to continue to make this the best school experience ever for my children |

| 10/14/2009 | parent | Recess, even in the middle school! Here is a school that truly values what is important and allows our children time to relax and absorb what they are learning. |
| 10/14/2009 | parent | Top notch principal & teachers,,, who care!!! |
| 10/13/2009 | parent | I'm very happy with this school! The principal is the best, teachers so nice and friendly. They willing to work with each parent and help students excel at school. |
| 10/12/2009 | parent | It's very organize, clean and the teachers care for their students. |
| 10/12/2009 | parent | The staff is very friendly. |
| 10/12/2009 | parent | The teachers are absolutely wonderful. They really care about the children and go out of their way to make sure they succeed. |
| 10/11/2009 | parent | The staff and all the kids are just the greatest bunch! We are a tight family at ISL and I am proud that my kids get to experience a great education! |
| 10/11/2009 | parent | As both a parent and a teacher, I have loved this school from the very beginning. I love the family atmosphere of being in a smaller school. My kids are thriving all around! |
| 10/11/2009 | parent | We are a great family here! We have been at this school from the beginning and have seen the tremendous growth. Individualized student academics is focused upon. Creativity in the classroom is encouraged. Charater Education is a part of every day life. We are proud to be a part of the Imagine Family! |
| 10/11/2009 | parent | I love Imagine at South Lake because it is a school where everyone can grow and change. We are a big family. Teachers work together with parents/guardians and students are supported through their educational journey. |
| 10/11/2009 | parent | Great Teachers. Mr Montouri is so dedicated. Every time I see him he going above and beyond teaching. Ms Osborne did a great job with the children last year in Math and Science. The Principal, Mrs Watson is always available |
| 10/11/2009 | parent | The overwhelming feeling of being in a loving parent's care is undeniable. |
| 10/11/2009 | parent | It's a safe fun loving school with great teacher who the childrens intrest at her first. |
| 10/10/2009 | teacher | We are a small school that offers a very personalized education experience for our students and a choice for our families. |
| 10/10/2009 | teacher | Imagine South Lake is everything I would want in a school - as both an educator and a parent. It breeds innovation in its students and teachers. It's focus on the whole child - not just academics, but character as well, puts it in a class all its own. Imagine School's tennets of Integrity, Justice, and Fun are alive and well at Imagine South Lake. I love my school! |
| 10/7/2009 | parent | My school is like family. We love all of them and they love us. |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | Our school is a family. It is a great school. The teachers care about their students and the student's continued academic success. |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | I love ISL!!! It is a big family. Children are being taught good character and good education. |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | I am proud to say that my daughter attends this school. The teachers are excellent and the staff is wonderful. |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | Our mantra for this school year is 'I am here for you!' That says it all. I'm a proud parent and teacher @ ISL. =) |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | I love South Lake Charter because it is still a small school which gives it a personal touch. The athletic director got my daughter to try out for the volleyball team, I have been trying for 2 years, she did make it by the way. The teachers care about each student and give them the personal attention that they need. The staff and teachers get the parents involved with the school on many different levels, it's a fun place to volunteer at. My kids went to a small private school before S.L.C., the change went smooth and all three were welcomed with open arms. Thank you, Stephanie |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | The location, the environment, the teachers, the feeling of the campus |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | Love the private school atmosphere at South Lake. Small enough that most of the teachers and workers know my child but big enough to be tops in education. |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | I love our school because it offers a first rate education, an environment focused on strong character values, a fabulous staff, wonderful families, and awesome students! :) |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | South Lake has a warm and inviting atmophere. The teachers deliver curriculum in an engaging and exciting way that reaches every child. We are one family, we are imagine!!! |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | At this school, my children are seen as individuals, not just another student. Teacher work hard in getting to know their specific needs and reaching through differentiation. That means a lot to me as a parent. |
| 9/16/2009 | teacher | We are a school striving for the best a student can give, through character and academics! |
| 5/29/2009 | parent | Wonderful office staff. Talented teachers. Warm, positive atmosphere. The kids love this school! |
| 10/27/2008 | parent | This is our first year and I am quite impressed with the quality of education my Kindergartener is receiving. I love the small school atmosphere and personal touch. |
| 10/1/2008 | parent | My daughter is in Kindergarten and she loves it at SLC. I have found the teachers and administration to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. |
| 9/1/2008 | parent | SLC is a great school! My son has been there since third grade and is now in 6th. It offers a wonderful education, a safe environment, and extras that are not included in everyday schools. At this point he will be there until high school. |
| 9/30/2007 | parent | All three of my children are all on honor roll at SLCE ! Our family is very involved with the school and with the teachers. Parental involvement is very important at our school. All our teachers are very caring and love our children. They go out of their way to help them succeed. And it shows on my childrens grades. |
| 9/27/2007 | parent | This is our third year at SLC. My kids have had wonderful, caring, and fun teachers each year! |
| 9/5/2007 | parent | i'm not in favor of this school i have given this school to provide my children 3years of service an they have failed my children. all my kids grades have drop since they have been enrolled they have been held back. there not unity to involed parents together networking in this school the staff is very standoff. |
| 6/8/2007 | parent | I have been at SLCE for two years. After two years of lack of communication I have decided to take my kids to another school. There are too many liberties that staff and parents take with this school. I understand that Mrs. Watson is only one person but she is more intent on being a people pleaser rather than a principal. That works great with customer service but when you are running a school, it can't happen. Several teachers work on their own rather than in teams( so classes in one grade will be working at different speeds) Math curriculum is very poor and one English teacher was never in her class so consequently reading and writing scores dropped. Teachers are allowed to talk about inappropriate subject matter. |
| 4/26/2007 | parent | SLC is a great school! The teachers are excellent as well as the principal. My children have done very well and I am very pleased with their educational progress! |
| 2/18/2007 | parent | I love this school. The teachers not only teach academics but also teach the students what it is to be a good person. The staff has had their hands full these first two years, but they are learning everyday. In a rapidly growing city like Clermont it is wonderful to have a small school that can really give the individual attention the our children deserve. Thank you. |
| 12/13/2006 | parent | The principal tries her best but her supporting staff is terrible. |
| 8/10/2006 | parent | I absolutely love this school. It really is an excellent example of an ideal school. The principal gets involved with all the events and activites, she's really warm and welcoming and knows just about everyone by name. My son is an honor roll student just as he was at his previous school because I remained active in his education alongside his teacher, which I believe is essential to getting good grades. I was a roommom last year and only a couple parents got involved, very disappointing. The school had some kinks it's first year, but usally anything new has the same problem. I believe in this school and am positive that it will be one of the top sought out schools in South Lake county. The waiting lists/lottery is proof of that. Remember...being a charter school has spectacular privilages because unlike public schools, parents actually do have a voice when they get involved. |
| 5/30/2006 | parent | I love this school and hope it suceeds into the 7th and 8th grades.. |
| 5/26/2006 | parent | My son transfered here from another school that was not meeting his needs in education. The education that he got here was great! Having a child that was well advanced for his grade level, we felt the need to change to Southlake Charter. His teacher was great, and helped each student to their own academic ability, with many hands on activites. I feel that Southlake Charter Elementary is a wonder school. |
| 5/8/2006 | parent | Having come from another Imagine School...I have to say that I am incredibly impressed with the organization and leadership that this school has had during its inagural year. The cirriculum is wonderfully integrated with students taking Spanish, Music, PE, and Art on a rotating basis. Wednesdays are Club days and my daughter enjoys having a chance to try new things like cooking or watercolor classes. All in all, the school has outpaced all my expectations. It should also be said that the parent involvement and PTO organization is top rate. I recommend it highly to any parent looking to escape the 1500+ student county schools that surround us in this district! |
