| 4/16/2012 | parent | One of the reasons we moved to this area was so that my 1st grade daughter could attend this school. She has excelled here and is becoming more responsible and confident in her abilities every day. The learning environment is challenging, supportive, and rewarding. She loves her teacher and classmates and feels like part of a family here. The staff are welcoming, caring and professional. This school is very organized and friendly. As a parent there is no better feeling then seeing your child happy to go to school , look forward to learning and grow up to be a responsible citizen. Thank you for all of the positive influences HBE! |
| 3/4/2012 | parent | Hawkes Bluff Elementary is the best school around! The teachers are phenomenal and the two administrators are exceptional leaders!! We moved just so that our kids could attend this school. From the moment you walk in, everyone is so accommodating. The principal and assistant principal know every child's name (or so it seems) and are available always to talk with parents and answer any questions. The office staff is unbelievably friendly. No wonder this school is so successful! If only the could allow it to go through middle school! Keep up the great work HBE! |
| 11/16/2011 | parent | Overall, this is an excellent school. Most of the teachers are outstanding, and really care about your child. The ESE staff is the best! And there is a great PTA with a lot of parental involvement. The weakest link are the administrators who are not approachable nor helpful if you have any concerns. The curriculum is taught so it is challenging to the student based on his/her ability but they have had to cut some specials like art due to budget constraints. |
| 11/3/2011 | parent | A most excellent school despite weak administrative leadership. The teachers seem dedicated to providing a quality education to all the students. |
| 9/13/2011 | parent | You will not find a better school. My sister- in-law works at an expensive private school and my child is progressing at a much higher rate than her students. The staff is professional across the board. If you live here and do not send your kids, you are throwing your money away. |
| 9/12/2011 | parent | So far really great teachers. Kindergarten teacher was really caring but was on top of the kids learning. |
| 3/1/2011 | parent | Hawkes Bluff is a wonderful school with caring teachers and administration. My child is finishing his first year here after being enrolled in private school. I couldn't be happier with his progress, happiness, and love for HBE. Great families make this school a positive and enriching environment. |
| 9/27/2010 | parent | Amazing staff ! The administration and teachers at this school are wonderful and caring individuals who care deeply about the kids! All 3 of my children are (or were) in Hawkes Bluff and love it. |
| 5/17/2010 | parent | The teachers and adminstrators are AMAZING. They love our kids and we love them!!!! |
| 5/15/2010 | parent | Because we have the Best long term Teachers and parent Involvement. |
| 5/14/2010 | parent | Because they have the best education! The teachers all have the patient to sit down with you and your child and explain any problems there is. My two daughters attend this school and coming from New York City I am very proud to have moved here and picked this school for them. They have learned so much! Thank you Hawkes Bluff Elementary School and Teachers!!!! |
| 5/14/2010 | parent | Excellent teachers, very friendly and family oriented school. Kids love their school! |
| 5/14/2010 | parent | The education is great... From staff members , teachers etc. take the time care for each student and you can forget the PTA who make wonderful things happen for all. |
| 4/26/2010 | parent | Couldn't ask for more! My son gets up everday happy to go to school! I wish there was more money in the budget so that we could keep our specials but the school is doing a tremendous job with what they have! |
| 10/22/2009 | parent | Hawkes Blufff Elementary has provided a great education for both my children. They seem to really put an effort in the childrens future and success. |
| 9/16/2009 | parent | This school has an excellent ESE program and a very dedicated, friendly and caring staff. They also have the most outstanding PTA I have ever seen. |
| 6/15/2009 | parent | Fantastic School! We took our daughter out of private school and was at first aprehensive of putting her in a public school. My daughter has excelled at HBE; more than she would have in private school. The faculty loves our children like their own. The after care program is amazing and my daughter looks forward every day to school. |
| 3/15/2009 | parent | We just moved from HBE after 4 fabulous years there. Everything about the school is perfect (ratio, activities, homework, and of course the teachers). We wish we were back there. Missing HBE!!! |
| 8/3/2008 | parent | This is an outstanding school. The teachers are wonderful and the parents are very involved. Hawkes Bluff is #1! |
| 7/16/2008 | parent | all of three of my children have spent at least two years at this school and my youngest is going into secound grade this year. this school is abslutly brillant, the teachers are very, very invoved and care much about the children there, they have provided my children by teaching them everything you want your child to know and teach about morals and diffrent ways of grasping consepts and helping my kids through tough situations and family problumes. I am very very pleased with it. |
| 7/1/2008 | parent | Hawkes Bluff is the best elementary school in Broward County! Awesome teachers, administration, parents, and students. They are all about the children and their education. Everybody in the school has a way of making every child feel special. Hawkes Bluff provides children with a love of learning - that can't be beat! |
| 6/8/2008 | parent | Great school! You could not pay for a better education. Everyone at the school puts children first. From the time you walk in the front office, you get a feeling of a warm and loving environment. The teachers are the best! The principal and assistant principal are outside most mornings greeting the students as they come to school. The best! |
| 5/8/2008 | parent | Amazing school. My daughter started out the year behind in reading, coming from another Florida school, and is now a top reader. The teachers are great. The parents are so supportinve. |
| 11/9/2007 | parent | Great school with outstanding teachers and family/parent involvement. Ms. Lehrman is the best teacher ever, motivates and involves her students who benefit immensely by having her as an educational leader. |
| 4/9/2007 | student | Overall this is an excellent school. There are some problems here and there, but I'm sure they'll be taken care of. This is a great place for your child to learn |
| 3/26/2006 | parent | They really push these kids. They separate children based on their abilities and work very hard to provide individualized instruction to the students. It's a nice bright atmosphere with a lot of parent involvement, lots of extracirricular activities and lots of communication between the scholl and the parents. I am very happy with my son's education. |
| 1/3/2006 | former student | Great school, especially the gifted program in which I was in. Thank you Mrs. Bellamy for teaching me in the 5th grade. There are very few extracurricular activites, and the ones HBE has are only for 5th graders. The morning news is a lot of fun and gives students an oppertunity to gain skills for the rest of life. |
| 9/25/2005 | parent | Overall, Hawkes Bluff is a great school. The teachers are the best in the county |
| 8/18/2005 | parent | Excellent school. great teachers and great after care. |
| 5/29/2005 | parent | Superior school. Superior teachers. Wonderful, wonderful school! You couldn't pay for a better education for your children. |
| 5/8/2005 | parent | Hawkes Bluff is an excellent school the teachers work with the children to meet there full potential and keep the parents updated on their childs progress. |
| 4/1/2005 | parent | My son attended this school for Kindergarten and found there was not enough attention for gifted students. |
| 10/13/2004 | parent | We love Hakes Bluff, great faculty and leadership. |
| 1/8/2004 | parent | I have been with Hawkes Bluff for 6 years. My son is in 5th grade and will begin Middle School next year. My daughter is in 2nd grade. When my son started kindergarten I was more nervous than he was. I quickly saw that I had nothing to fear, as he was in a wonderful environment with teachers and faculty who provide a caring, safe and fun learning environment. I saw that the door was always open to parents who wanted to be involved and help out in any way, and being a part of it all will be a wonderful memory I will always cherish. I have to leave Hawkes Bluff this year, but I am very thankful for what the school has given my children-a wonderful education, a postive outlook on school, and a lot of really great memories. So if you are the nervous parent of a kindergartner like I was, or someone coming from another school, fear not-Hawkes Bluff is top notch! |
| 9/28/2003 | parent | It is a pretty good school, but it needs cleaner bathrooms and new books and supplies. |
