9/23/2010parentThis school has wonderful compassionate teachers....they truly care about my childs future and well being! I had an experience with my child being very ill all of the staff and famialies united to help my son keep up with his school work and organized fund raisers to help!! I have four children one already in middle school and the traits taught by this school will never be forgotten!
4/28/2010parentI am so happy Corr has finally started a 'Gifted Program.' They have found an outstanding teacher to teach this program. Mrs. Shaeffer has done such neat, fun stuff with my child. My child does not even know she is learning. She thinks it is so much fun. Corr has always been a great school, but with teachers like this it is now fabulous, to say the least. The principal is dynamite also.
2/2/2010parentI just was informed a few weeks ago that Mrs. Schafer, the new gifted teacher, has found my child qualified to be in her class. My child always loved school but now she is being challenged in math. I am thrilled Corr has got a gifted program.
1/21/2010parentCorr is a wonderful school and my daughter loves going everyday. The grounds are always kept very clean and the staff is awesome. There is a lot of pride from all staff members from principal to the janatoral team. This to me is important, everyone gets along. I can't say enough about the teachers they all seem to love the job they do and the children they teach. I am so very pleased and could not ask for a better school that my beloved daughter can experience the first few years of her education. THANK YOU CORR!!!!!!!!
11/19/2009parentI am a parent of a child at Corr. We have seen this school grow and thrive throughout the last four years. The school is kept in wonderful condition. The teachers are hard working and caring individuals. As a volunteer who works at this school I can say that there is none better.
11/4/2009parentGreat elementary school, teachers go the extra mile to take care of their students. This school has an exellent ELP program.
10/18/2009parentThis school has been wonderful. My son is in ESE class and from the first day to now he has changes 100%. Everyone has worded with me with my problems and with him. They have taken the time to help him. He is talking alot more and interacting a whole lot more. Everyone in that school deserves recognition for all the support and time they take with the kids to help them
8/24/2009parentWe just found out the infamous Mrs. Schafer from Collins Elementary has moved to Corr. We are thrilled. She had my son in 3rd grade prior to us moving. I am praying she is going to be teaching 3rd grade and will have my daughter. Corr is a good school with an outstanding principal.
8/23/2009parentCorr is an excellent school. All the teachers are very exciting and have a love and passion to teach every child. All the staff is very eager to help with any problem you may have and come up with a solution not just a quick fix. They are also very good at noticing the kids that make good decisions and have great accomplishments. I love Corr and would not put my kids anywhere else.
4/13/2009parentCorr is an exelent school, the staff is very organized and friendly, My kids beem attending Corr for 4 years already and they love and respect everyone in the school I wish the school the best of years to come...
3/7/2009parentMs. Heinz is an excellent teacher and really cares for her class . My gaughther loves going there in Kindergarten and continues to get better at reading and other activities. Her teacher makes all the dfference. She takes the time to make learning fun and I know she spends her own time in projects for her class .I have volunteered for a few activities and they do the best with the resources they have.
2/7/2009parentI love the shool, the teachers there really care about the students and always update parents about their progress.
1/14/2009parentI love the school, the only thing I wish for is more activities for the kids!
10/20/2008parentThis school is amazing. The staff is active and enthusiastic. The principal is very involved and supportive to staff and students. She has always made herself available to parents if needed. The school itself is very active in community events which is nice to see the suport from such a hard working staff and PTA as well.
10/4/2008parentI have two children attending Corr and they love this school. We have been involved since the doors opened. The teachers are amazing and my children feel safe. The office are always helpful and courteous. Ms. Hastings and Ms. Faerber are strong leaders and I truly appreciate the leadership they give this school. When parents get involved with their children school and work with the teachers, it makes a difference.
9/19/2008parentI have a child at this school. I chose this school at the advise of other parents. I drive several miles each morning to get there. My child is having a great time.....learning academics, making friends and feels good about himself. As a single parent this has been the best decision I have ever made for my child. Thank You Corr
9/18/2008teacherCorr Elementary has a strong and knowledgeable leader as pricipal. The district should put her in a postion to train other principals as she has it all together. Mrs. Hastings has an excellent relationship with parents, students, teachers and the community. There is nothing she would ask others to do that she would not do herself. If I had a child in elementary school I would drive many miles to have my child atted the school with Mrs. Hastings as the leader. There is no better!
6/3/2008parentVery good school, I have no problems with anything. My son learns something new each day, and his teacher is great. And I also agree that if you have a student that hates school, its probably a little deeper than that school itself.
3/25/2008parentMy daughter has attended Corr since opening year. Corr has come a long way and I'm proud to support the school and the hard work of the staff. Every year, she has incredible teachers that go above and beyond to challenge her. She is a straight A student on Principal's Honor Roll! I would like to see more parent involvement....the parents that complain about the way things are should get involved and make a difference. Set an example for your child!
3/3/2008parentMy husband is in the military and we have had experience in many schools. Without doubt, Corr is the worst we've ever come across. It is unorganized and the principal has a care less attitude. I will say that some of the teachers do try, but the overall experience at Corr has been very bad.
2/25/2008parentMy two sons have attended Corr their entire schooling expereience thus far. My youngest was in the ELP class, and I truly believe that Mrs.Fritz and Mrs.B helped him beyond their call of duty. The school is always clean, and the teachers always eager to have you come in and to visit your child. I believe any student that 'hates' the school, is most likely the problem at hand...that- and the parents who enable them. Corr rocks!
2/18/2008parentMy daughter hates this school and I don't blame her. We are taking her out of here. We are not impressed at all with Corr. Bad teachers and principal. It's not a good school.
1/23/2008parentMy daughters love this school, so how could I not give it a great rating?! Ms. Hastings has always given us nothing but respect. The teachers are also doing a wonderful job. My youngest daughter learned how to read in Kindergarden and my older daughter has gotten straight A's. We are proud to be a Corr family!
1/17/2008parentAmazing school with hardworking staff! A school now and you can see it!
1/4/2008teacher Have they visited the classrooms? Our children are always celebrated and respected. Ms hastings is wonderful leader. She visits classrooms, talks with students and hold high expectations from here staff and students.
12/12/2007parentPrincipal leadership is the best! I believe that if we as parents cooperate instead of complain we will really help our children. After all that's what matters. Ms. Hastings truly cares about all of the students and treat them fairly. Strong, of course she have to be strong, otherwise other people will run the school and that will be chaotic. Your leadership is at home folks. Some of them are very disrespectful to our teachers. Teachers and Administration at Corr Elem do the best they can and they do it with love and much pride. Corr Elementary is the best school that my child ever attended. Keep up the good job!
8/29/2007parentI have to agree that this is not a good school. My son was not learning anything here. The assistant principal seems to care more than the principal herself.
8/17/2007parentI know a lot of people unhappy with this school. This school needs alot of work. Starting at the top and all the way down. Many changes needed here.
8/9/2007parentSchool lacks cohesion. The teachers do the best they can with what they have, but the principal is off on her own agenda. Truly sad. This could be a top notch school.
8/6/2007parentTotally inept principal. I feel sorry for this school. I don't know why anyone would want to send their child here. The violence is out of control.
7/2/2007parentCorr Elementary is a Great school!!! One of the best...
6/6/2007parentMy child is very happy at this school. This school is organized from academic's to drop off & pick up's for the children. The school is always clean. When ever you have a question about anything concerning the class or school they have an answer.
5/31/2007parentMy daughter is very glad to leave this school. Cold and aloof is a good description of this principal. She doesn't seem to have the best interests of the school at heart. The school grades are low. I'm glad this is my daughter's last year here.
5/29/2007parentMy children have not been happy at this school. The principal seems cold and aloof. She seems to pay lip service to the problems of this school, but has no real substance. She could do alot to bring this school up. Let's hope she does in the future.
5/23/2007parentMy daughter is glad to leave after this year. I hope this school improves for all involved. I would say the problems have to do with the principal. I agree that she is mediocre. Let's hope she improves.
4/30/2007parentMy son was in the Early steps program and after turning 3 joined Ms. Fritz at Corr Elementary. That was last year and he is still going there. Violence at this school? I visit almost every other day and I haven't seen any of this(this includes lunch at the cafeteria). School is always clean and children are always walking in line, following their teachers. The school grading thing is a double edge sword because sometimes it doesnt reflect the school at all, Parents need to realize they also need to sit down with their children at study AT HOME. If there is no educational reinforcement from Home,Schools will not fare well. I love the school, and I appreciate the work of Ms Fritz and Ms Bianchi(speech therapist at the school), I can see the improvement on my son everyday thanks to their dedication.
4/18/2007parentMy children have attended this school since it opened and I have never heard any negative comments from them. I have attended many awards ceremonies, etc. and find them to be organized and the principal is always present. The front office staff is kind and willing to help with anything. I wouldn't continue to have my children attend this school if I felt they were not getting a good education. There is always room for improvement.
3/13/2007parentMy son attended Corr for first and second grade. Second grade was a pretty bad experience. He was put in an 'experimental' classroom with three rotating teachers and 52 students total. He had a terrible time learning to read, and we ended up having to have him tutored in reading. Otherwise, I actually think his teachers would have failed him. He's now in third grade, at a different school, and on the honor roll. Also, the principal at Corr always seemed cold and aloof to me.
3/2/2007parentThis definitely is not a good school. School grades do mean a lot. School too unorganized, needs someone to bring it together. Needs better leadership. The bullying problem is out of control here.
2/27/2007parentMy son hates this school. I have questions about this principal. This school has a lot of problems to work out. Badly organized, chaotic classes.
2/5/2007teacherThe school grades say it all. This is an average (really below average) public school. It really needs a complete makeover from top to bottom. One of the worst schools in the county.
2/1/2007teacherCorr Elementary is one of the best schools in the county. It is full of highly qualified teachers who love their students and their jobs.
1/29/2007parentI feel sorry for this school. It's overall quality is very bad. The principal leadership is nonexistent. I don't know why anyone would want to send their child to this school. I pulled my daughter out of here and she is in private school now. She is much happier and is getting a much better education.
10/27/2006parent This school is in chaos. The school is full of out of control students. A good leader would do wonders.
8/27/2006parentThis school has had a C grade two years in a row. This is not a good school. The principal is not a good leader. She has weak leadership skills and seems clueless. They should start over.
8/23/2006parentThe principal is approachable, and knowledgeable of what happens in her school. The teachers, almost without exception are dedicated to their students.
7/30/2006parentThe principal at Corr is a very professional educator. She has a wonderful professional staff that makes Corr one of the best schools in the County.
6/28/2006parentThis Principal is very inept. She seems totally oblivious to the problems of the school which include violence, and inadequate teachers.
