Just look at the radiant, wholesome faces and enjoy the inquisitive quests for nature's wonders; scientific discovery; Mrs. Madonna's Marvelous library. Who would take this exquisite school surrounded by emerald green gentle ocean waters for granted? We do because we live in the district. Our family relocated from Manhattan. Compared to our daughter's previously top school at $35,000 tuition elementary school (lunch and transportation not included), The Manhattan version is in the scale of 2 while Anna Maria Public is at the scale of 9! The only shame is that it only goes up to 5th Grade:( A Proud Parent |

| 10/21/2008 | parent | I was very upset to read the review posted on October 5, 2006, about 'Island Childrens'' educational needs not being met because of 'School Choice Kids.' I hope that parent has gotten wise since that was submitted. My husband grew up in Holmes Beach and attended AME when he was a child. We both lived and worked on the Island, for over a decade. This is OUR community. Unfortunately, when we decided to quit renting and purchase our own home we were forced to move a few miles off the Island. Although our zip code isn't the same, we are, as the many people we know in the same situation are, an active part of the school and this community, our children have every right to be at AME. It is the last of the little schools and a wonderful environment for OUR children. |

With the increasing cost of living, many island residents have had to relocate to Bradenton including myself after 30 years of living on the island and attending AME when I was a child and many others, without school of choice we would not have the opportunity for our children to attend AME. When you complain about the people from other areas crowding your school, the school would not be in service right now if it wasn't for the school of choice. Next time you are not happy with the situation think about it, or take your child to a different school. I am so happy my child is attending this school |

There are children in outside buildings. This is not safe. All the children should be in the main building. Because of these extra non Island kids We also don't have enough books and materials for the children that live here. |
