| 8/27/2012 | parent | Both of my children attend this school and they love it. There is a new prinicipal that has been there for the past 1 1/2 year and she is very interactive with the parents and students. I have never seen a prinicpal that involved with the school and strives to have everyone be successful and I love that! The principle is very sweet and greets all the parents and children with a "Good Morning" and a smile. I also love one of the first grade teachers, she has an amazing spunky personality, shes is very friendly and makes sure to break down material to the students as simple as she can so that they can understand it easily. I am very pleased with this school! |
| 10/26/2010 | parent | I love the way the teachers really care about they children and so patiently. |
| 3/5/2009 | parent | My child has special needs. the teachers needs more professional growth hours in dealing with ADHD children s. when teachers are not train to work with children with special needs the school year for the teacher, child and parent will become a nightmare. the child self esteem is damage, the child is label as a trouble child. this is not fair to everyone that is involved. |
| 12/12/2008 | parent | My son attended Bayview for K-2. We had some excellent teachers and ESE teachers. The principal and school counselor are excellent. My son has ADD and the school worked with us in creating an IEP that suited his needs. However he still suffered, falling behind in math. My son needs more one-on-one teaching which just isn't possible in a public school even with well meaning teachers. Overall, I was satisfied with Bayview but it just did not suit our needs. |
| 10/2/2008 | parent | Debbie in the office is an exceptional associate and has taken very good care of all of my childrens needs for 4 years.... |
| 6/10/2008 | parent | This is a great school! The staff that I had any contact with was excellent! Mrs. Isele, Mrs. Bransford, Mr. Godbold, Mrs. Jackson, Mr. Ellison, Mrs. Trembley, Mrs. Hamner, and the nice lady in the front office were all FABULOUS! I could not complain about any of the schools staff. Wonderful, I would reccomend Bayview to anyone! My child started as a less than average student and by the end of his second year there, he finished with test scores on TOP of his class and has done it again this year. I must credit this to the caring and wonderful staff, this is more than just a 'JOB' to them. A+++++++ |
| 6/26/2007 | parent | Excellent school, excellent staff. |
| 5/17/2005 | parent | This is a great school if you don't care about the education that your child receives. The teachers that I had the 'pleasure' of dealing with lacked the drive that it takes to teach our children for the future. The main goal was getting them to the next grade, not making sure that they learned the material for life. I find it hard to have confidence in an educational program that will allow a six year old to virtually take control of the classroom on a daily basis and disregard it as the parents responsibilty to make sure that it doesn't happen. Also alarming is the number of grammatical and spelling errors that make it home to the parents in teacher/parent correspondance. It makes me wonder if the teacher is teaching my child proper English. I think Bayview Elementary needs a little education of its own. |
