8/14/2011parentI had my kids there for 1 year and they did great all A's never had any homework and paid a ridiculous amount of money in tuition. I thought I was moving them to a better school as I quickly found out I was wrong. Not only did I feel there was a decline in their studies but also the enviorment. My kids shared stories of things that you hear about happening in public schools. I also witnessed myself this type of behavior from students and staff. I spoke with other parents regarding this craziness and several of us and not only pulled them out of school but out of the church. Money & Hypocrasy is the main theme with these people steer clear of them!! Havent they changed there name several times what is that about ?? Im glad that it didnt take us long to realize this is not the best place for my family.
12/16/2010parentI had both of my kids enrolled at Heartland (City of Life) and my experience was horrible. The only thing they care about is your MONEY. The principal and teachers look sweet, but the reality is very different. They don't care about your kids health issues or listen to your concerns. I even tried to go to the church and even there they were fake. They always say that the "commitee" is the one that make decisions, but the truth is that one person is the one that make all decisions. They treat nice the kids that are the children of the people working there (administration / teachers). I had my kids in another private school and my experience is great now. My kids are happy and learning a lot! Heartland or City of Life you guys taugh me that you guys are NOT a GOOD example of GOD!
9/19/2009parentBoth of my kids are enrolled at City of Life (Heartland) and I very happy with this school. They have learned so much and they really care about the kids.
8/22/2009parentI had my child enrolled at Heartland (now City of Life) for many years, The education standard has fallen, you would be better sending your child to a public school. There are many better private schools located near heartland that offer a better standard of education not to mention a better atmosphere.
6/2/2009parentMy daughter has been here for 4 years and I strongly believe it is a warm and nuturing school for any child. I personally work in the public school system...and yes it has its pro and many cons. If you are looking for a school that helps build in your child a strong relationship with God, COLCA is the school for you. While feeding godly instruction, my daughter has grown academically without missing any core knowledge of basic education. You establish priorities in your child's life...I feed only to my students academics, academics, academics, discipline referrals, illmannered students with no respect to adults, parents and the knowledge of God is a joke. I pick COLCA anytime over public school or any other private school. This being my third child; and my others kids all have had christian school foundations; I think I speak with property.
5/24/2009studentI was a student at heartland for ten years. The school was my home. The teaching is very good for anyone and they teach you to have a strong realtionship with God. Going there really changed me and molded me into who I am today. Being at this school really helped me understande God and grow closer to him. They teach you to have good family value's and the teachers are willing to help the students if they need it. But its not the school that people should bring their childern to. You may ask why? Why wouldn't you if I've been saying all this wonderful stuff about it. Well they shelter you from what really goes on in the world. And they are hypocrites. They say that they are all about God but they don't accept and help confused children. They abandon all the students who really need their help.
10/8/2008studentI think this a pretty good school. It is my senior year there, and I have enjoyed going there. Just to tell the parents who said that highschool students were not academically challenged, we are!! I have to work really hard to get good grades.
8/9/2008studentthe school needs more activities and choices of classes like public highschools ,in heartland you do classes you have to do and do what the kids/young adults want not choosing for them.
7/5/2008studentThis is an amazing school with a great Christian foundation.
5/29/2008studentThis school is able to provide a really good environment for students, However if you want to challenge yourself academically you must go elsewhere. The school has a very narrow political mindset.
5/29/2008otherHeartland Christian Academy is a wonderful private school who holds Christian principles as their main priority. Athletics is one of the highlights! There basketball team is a brotherhood! They show awesome teamwork and commitment and have impacted lives with there character! I fully recommend this school for any age!
3/7/2008parentThis was my first year at Heartland. I have 2 kids, one in middle school and one in Kindergarden. I totally love the school. Teachers care about your kids and most of all my kids feel loved and safe.
3/6/2008parentOne of the worse schools I have ever been involved with, Some good teachers but they are lost in the Hypocritical politics of the school, One very great shame, Poor educational standards are an accepted norm,
2/13/2008studentNot challenging enough. It is a very good school, but not education wise.
8/29/2007parentNot challenging enough for high school students.
7/3/2007parentHeartland offers excellence in education and loving guidance. The teachers care about their students in a very special way and help them excel academically! This will be our third year at Heartland and we are very satisfied!
6/25/2007parentExcellent Bible teaching school
8/10/2005parentThis is a very good school. It has the Golden Seal certification which is hard for many schools to get. The communication between the teachers and parents are great. There faculty will work with you and help you in any way. I strongly recommend it.
4/21/2004parentMy daughter attended Heartland for 3rd & 4th grade. We have been relatively happy with her academic experience there. Be sure to ask lots of questions as to class size for the school year that you are considering, as my daughter's class doubled in size from one year to the next ! The student body is very diverse and the teachers are very caring.
