9/28/2011parentThis is an AMAZING school. I attended Shadyside Academy and Winchester Thurston (both top rated private schools in Pittsburgh PA) and would put this PUBLIC school up against them any day. I'm not sure how a child with below average drive or parent involvement would survive here, but that is fine with me!
8/18/2010parentMy daughter loves this school, teachers, and students. She is dejected that we have to move away for our careers. Hopefully we can find a school on here that she will love just as much. If you are looking for a school with low parent involvement this is not that school.
6/12/2010parentWards Creek is an amazing school with great opportunities for students. The teachers are incredible and really care about the kids. The parents are encouraged to be involved in as many ways as possible. My children particularly love how often the are able to use computers in class.
4/21/2010parentWe are a military family and have moved quite a bit. I can say without hesitation that Wards Creek is by far the best school my daughter has been enrolled in. The teachers are supportive and easy to communicate with. The extracurricular activities are outstanding. My daughter loves this school.
1/25/2010parentThis is a wonderful place to be! The staff is awesome. Our children have never had such a great learning environment.
11/6/2009parentMy daughter is in kindergarten at Wards Creek. The principal is amazing. I have never seen a principal, staff, and parents so involved before. This school is very safe and very determined to give your children the best education possible. I am so thankful that it is my daughter's school. Her teacher is extremely enthusiastic and wonderful. I just cannot say enough good things about Wards Creek!
11/5/2009parentprincipal is engaged in some parental support and school but not in others. one of my student's teachers is harsh and abrasive to students and does not support a positive and professional demeaner and does not appear to be a good or role model to young children.
10/29/2009parentWards Creek is a fantastic school full of top rate teachers and administrators!
10/28/2009parentWards Creek is an awesome, Florida A Rated School. We have fantastic teachers, administration and staff! My kids love it.
6/3/2009parentMy family moved to Florida almost two years ago and we lived in a different county and i wasnt pleased until we moved to St John County and i love the school system. The care about the children and they show it.. My son has learned so much from his teachers and classmates because of the way they teach.. Thanks so much and keep up the work...
4/1/2009parentMy family has had a wonderful experience at Wards Creek the past two years. My sons teachers have both been incredible. They provide outstanding learning opportunities for him every day and are in constant communication. It is amazing to see such challenging work come home from such young children. Wards Creek is an incredible place to be!
3/1/2009parentMy daughter loves this school. Wards Creek has plenty of activities and learning. The school has high standards, so if you re a parent looking for an easy school for your child, then I suggest another school. They stress academics here.
1/15/2009parentWe have recently moved to FL from another state.I cannot say enough about Wards Creek. As most people know, FL ranks 50th out of 50 states for public school funding. To find a good school is hard to do, and often requires children to apply to a magnet program or even worse- move.We moved to St Johns County instead of Duval because of the reputation for public schools. I am SO pleased with what my daughter has learned thus far. The teachers are in constant communication. They are highly organized and efficient, respectful and caring. They are involved in the learning process, and they go above and beyond their call for their 'job' -they treat it as much more than a job. They care for the kids, and the parents as well. I have NEVER heard anyone 'brag' or seen anyone be lazy as the previous review states. We LOVE Wards Creek.
5/14/2008parentMy son has been at this school after completing the previous grade in another state. I cannot express the heartbreak I have when I think of the education that he has lost since moving. The teachers are unorganized, lazy, and only concerned with getting the children ready to PASS the FCAT tests. The principal is personable but way too busy bragging about his new school building, technology, and incompetent teachers to notice the poor educational experience that he is representing.
2/21/2008parentThis school is a 10 for sure! The staff is incredible.
