6/21/2011parentI love Creek View Elementary! This is our family's second elementary school and all 3 of my children have had outstanding teachers and an exceptional experience in Elementary School. The principal, Mr. Rogers, has an awesome leadership style and relates extremely well to students, parents, teachers, & community. The outdoor recess facilities are superior! This is truly a school that puts students first! My kid's describe Creek View Elementary as "Beast", "Awesome", and "a school that makes learning fun!"
6/21/2011parentCVES is a great school where the administration, teachers and parents work together to create a stellar learning environment for children! I wouldn't send my kids anywhere else!
6/21/2011parentAwesome, Awesome, Awesome . My daughter is going to creek view for four years. This is a great school. She loves each and every one of her teachers since kindergarten. The school has the best PTA.
9/21/2010otherPrincipal interactions may be few as a parent, but this is not the type of individual I would want leading our children. An unfortunate case of lagging maturity, condescending attitude toward parents, and rudeness. I encourage prospective parents to explore their options.
4/24/2010parentMy younger daughter is going to graduate from Creek View this year. We love this school. Lots of great teachers and administrators to make this school raise above than the average public school. We sure will miss Creek View.
4/22/2010parentBeauty wise this school is pretty. Other than that, after 2 years having my child go to that school I am very disappointed. It's all about the MONEY!! Money, money, money and most of the time they 'forget' that this is a public school. Teacher do not communicate well with parents and when the parents try to follow up, we get the attitude as if we're bothering them. They bombard the kids with homework. And to top it off.. in Kindergarten there was a note sent to the parents: If you child does not read all 24 words in 1 minute your child will not pass. Hello??? These are kindergarten kids.. I think this says it all.. see it for yourself.
10/23/2008parentCreek View Elementary School is great! The teachers are wonderful! I am very pleased!
9/18/2008parentMy two sons both attended CreekView and my oldest has gone to WBMS, while my youngest is still there. I am so greatful for the Teachers and all others that are there. Its has been a real struggle for myself and my boys, but because they can go to a school were they feel safe and can learn and acheive the highest level they can. They are doing so much better. My youngest is in the first grade he was there last year his reading and other skills are great. Now instead of watching TV, he wants to read...... I thank Creekview for all that they have done and will contuine to do with my children..
9/16/2008parentI feel blessed that my children attend Creek View. I wonder if the other reviews come from parents actively helping in the classroom. Have you been to the new hands on Science Lab? Have you seen a Promethean Board at work in 30 classrooms. This school is one of a few with the resources and the staff willing to try new things. How about a Shakesphere play in third grade? Academic Bowl team? Gree thumb Club? This school has something to challenge every student academically and to build a complete student. I wish parents that write bad reviews would simply spend more time supporting the school, staff and teachers. Your school is a reflection of your own commitment.
6/20/2008parentI am both an educator and a parent, and I am incredibly impressed with Creek View Elementary. The parental involvement is unparalleled. The principal is fabulous and incredibly welcoming. My child has thrived at this school, and he absolutely loves being there.
6/7/2008parentThis school is in a great area but is too over crowded! PTA is great at helping for raising $$ for the school. I agree with the other review regarding the young teachers not only in age but in experience. If your child is not able to keep up they are ready to put them in a special ed category/tag is a joke at this school. My child is in it and is not challenge to their full potential. The principal is not friendly to new students or parents. He favors the $$ fundraisers (PTA). Mr. Trussell should incorporate more parent friendly events and be apart of it with the parents/teachers... I wish i could move out of the area because this school is not academically challenging. And some of the teachers act as if they are afraid to even express themselves on any level.
3/28/2008parentCreek View is a good, but not a great, school. The principal is not responsive to parent concerns. I think people like him because he lets the PTA do whatever they want (how smart is that - people who work for free). The school is over-crowded and strapped on resources (4 classes share the gym at the same time). Like everywhere, the quality of your child's education is directly related to the quality of his/her teacher; thankfully there are many wonderful teachers here. Just too bad they don't have better support from the administration.
3/26/2008parentI wish there were more academic enrichment events promoted by the principal and teachers. More community projects. I will give 3 stars. Creek View has the raw material to become a 6 stars.
3/14/2008parentWe attended this school for four years, and it is a terrible school. All the resources are given to the TAG students. My oldest landed in Middle school below average and now (4 years later) is back above grade level. The Admin. group have little comunication.
2/11/2008parentWe just moved back to GA last summer and believe we are very fortunate to have landed at Creek View (after extensive research). Mr. Trussell and his staff have created a fabulous atmosphere of learning. I wish we had moved back sooner.
2/7/2008parentGreat teachers and great curriculum specialist.
12/19/2007parentCreekview is not a good school. There are a few good teachers, but the administration is very bad. All the resources are given to the stellar math kids and the kids that need the resources go without in what is one of the wealthiest areas in the state. A lot of the teachers are young and dont have the experience they need to teach well. I do not recommend this school
9/10/2007parentI absolutely love Creek View Elementary for my child and would recommend the school to any parent looking for a public school where their child will flourish. The school allows children to spread their wings by offer tons of programs to enrich them both mentally and culturally - Molding them into our future successful leaders. If all schools were patterned after Creek View I would truly feel that the 'No Child Left Behind' statement true to its meaning. Hats off to the wonderful administration over there. Finally a school that actually practice what it preaches. Keep Up the Great Work!! An honored Parent
5/18/2007parentcreek view elementary chool is great. the teacher is totally involved woth the students. she is fait. a lot of extra curricular activities go on the entire year. my daughters level of confidence has improved a lot
5/8/2007parentThis is not a good school. All the teachers and staff care about is test scores. They teach to 'the test'. The class sizes are too large. Too much emphasis is put on the kids that are very good in math. The principal is non existant and totally uninvolved.
12/28/2005parentThis is a great school with a great staff and great PTA. Parent envolvement is awesome.
2/28/2005parentCreekview is an outstanding school with a very high level of parental involvement. The teachers are excellent and committed. Most important, our child was motivated and challenged.
4/21/2004parentOverall, I think Creekview is a wonderful school. The level of parent involvement is great. The principal and assistant principal are also very involved in the students success. They offer a variety of incentive and extracurricular opportunities. We are very pleased!
11/26/2003parentThe principle is a marketing genius and a great leader with real visions. The teachers are all wonderful. The school is located in the heart of the wealthy Windward community.
