| 7/31/2012 | parent | My son attended B.E.S.T. Academy for the last 2 years and I'm terribly disappointed in the Administration and especially the Principal for the previous year who refused to see me when I had concerns about my son's development which I feel is very unbecoming for a leader of a School. I'm not being critical from afar but volunteered several times over the past 2 years to see first hand the disorder which hinders learning. Needs leadership real bad! |
| 8/27/2010 | parent | My son is a 9th grader at The Best Academy HIgh School and I would like to commend the staff, teachers and administration on a job well done thus far. I am extremely pleased with the dedication and enthusiam that has been shown by the administration and faculty. I feel that my son will have a TERRIFIC high school career at The Best Academy. We are proud to call ourselves a part of the EAGLE family I would like to see more parent involvement and support. The facilities are excellent and the partnerships are top-notched. The resources and opportunities that are presented to my son are phenomenal. I am extremely impressed that Latin will be taught as one of the foreign languages. The motto of "enter determined and exit prepared" is one that I have no doubt wil come to fruition. |
| 4/26/2010 | parent | My child is a 6th grader at B.E.S.T. I am very pleased with his educational experience. The teachers and administration demonstrate their personal care and dedication to my son's success every day. On the 1st day of school, I was impressed to see a multitude of well dressed and entusiastic men standing outside waiting to greet my son. Now that we have made it through over 1/2 of the year, I have found their dedication and enthusiasm to be consistent. The school offers so many resources and opportunities. Along with a state of the art facility, my son has the priviledge of taking a CISCO class for free (where he is being prepared for certification tests), robotics, band, and boy scouts to name a few. The administration is very responsive and consider the needs of those needing more help and those needing to be challenged more. I highly recommend B.E.S.T. |
| 3/25/2010 | parent | My child is an honor roll student who has benefited from some of Atlanta s top public schools (Morris Brandon and KIPP WAYS Academy). The resources at B.E.S.T. are unparallel by comparison to other schools [Smart boards in every class, state of the art library, and technology (MAC and PC available)]. The parent participation is not only impressive, but evident when you enter the school. Faculty they listen to their students; they are structured and stern, but approachable. The New Administration encourages and empowers both parents and students to have an active voice by soliciting participation and being responsive to expressed concerns. The school, such as life, is truly what you make it. There are many opportunities for all students to fail, progress, and excel in a safe and encouraging environment. I encourage parents come see firsthand, this is no exaggeration; as the main office has coined the phrase Nothing but the Best at B.E.S.T. |
| 5/15/2009 | parent | Upon attending the orientation for my 6th grader I was very impressed. Since my son has been attending I have been very disappointed. There is a lack of communication which led to a break down in what classes my son should have been attending. There seems to be a lack of care and concern for the boys attending and they are quick to write them off. The meetings are conducted on days that aren't condusive to the parents schedules. There aren't any activities that the boys are able to be a part of and the environment totally kills any enthusiasm that might have been there before attending this school. If you are looking for a place to send your child just to get them out of the house then this would be it. If you are hoping that your child will learn something then I suggest finding another school. |
