He is in honors math and has been bringing home excellent grades (one B and the rest A's) each grading period. Communication between the teachers, office staff and myself have been excellent when any questions arise or when a clairification is needed. So far, so good. |

I miss it alot although I am glad to be in high school I would go back to Bonaire and do it all again. I was not a cheerleader or a football player there and I always felt very welcomed and loved at the school. The staff and teachers were always very kind to me and could call me by name if they saw me in the hallway. My teachers were nothing but the best I had a maybe one not so good teacher in all 3 of years there. I really recommend this school it is one of the best in the county if not the best. But every school has faults, so keep that in mind as you read through all of these reviews. |
| 2/6/2012 | other | I was a student at Bonaire middle before. And I have to say, I had my ups and downs but I would do it again if I got a chance. I didn't like 6th grade too much but it wasn't the schools fault, I was going through family problems. This school was very welcoming and the learning standards were high. I do not see any problems why you or your child should not go here. Nothing bad ever happens and if your having any sort of problem they will fix it to the best of their ability. If you see any bad comments on here it's probally some wuss who didn't make the team or warmed the bench! This may not be the best school in the world, but I will never forget it and the times I've had here. |
| 9/16/2011 | parent | My oldest went to BMS and is now at Veterans. My middle son is now in the 8th grade, and my youngest son is in the 6th. My complaint is with the football program and Coach Peavy (a terrible coach) in particular. My oldest played for Bonaire but I say "played" loosely - mostly he sat on the bench. My second son is experiencing the same thing. Peavy plays his favorites. What is frustrating is that he consistently plays the same players on both offense and defense when twenty or more players are sitting. A real coach could teach some of these kids how to play and give them more opportunities to do so. He says he wants the kids to come to him, well my middle son did come to him (although scared to do so) and the last game Peavy put him in for one play at the end of a game they were winning by 15 points. As a final point, my oldest is now one of two starting tight ends for Veterans and the coaches love him. My middle son is so frustrated he nearly tears up when we try to encourage him to stay involved long enough to play for real coaches. Hey Peavy! You know if you played more players - you would have more players who could actually play! What a concept! |

| 11/19/2010 | parent | The school is horrible. We are military and have been to schools all over the country and over seas and this is the worst I have ever seen. Even the schools of the upper crust of D.C. were not as bad as this one. The peopel (partents and kids) who go there are as snooty acting as they come. They are people who think they are someone who are no one. We are a military family and were not treated well at all my sone was treated diferently and picked on by students and teachers. The coaches cus at the players, one in particular hersburger is way to friendly with young girls. My son witnessed several time the teachers cussing at the students and doing the same in class in class. We moved to Perrry and it was the best move we ever made. Great coaches who are calm and don't cuss and teachers who are roll models for the kids. BONAIRE MIDDLE IS TERRIBLE. Stay away military families. If you don't donate money your kids don't play sports. If you are not HOMEGROWN you are not accepted. The students are a directe refection of the parents, teachers and coacnes at the school. IF YOU CAN GO TO PERRY you will be much happier. The HCBOE is just as bad. |

The kids that go here are rude and very ignorant and the Principle is not there for all the children she is only there to see how popular she can get with all the Cheerleaders and Football players, She makes excuse after excuse for the way the children treat new children. It is nothing but a popularity contest for this school. If you dont have to send your child to this school I recommend taking them to a different school. My child who loves school now hates school. Think twice before making this mistake that I have made. |

I think this, no wait, I know htis is the best school I've ever been to. They have a great Athletic Department and Band Progam. It easy to say this is one of the best school in the country. Some of the other parents who's children did well in the class said they felt the teacher seemed disengaged. His Honors Science teacher was awsome. Other than his Science Class the school really didn't live up to it's reputation. Staff seemed cold and stressed. They made it hard for parents to be involved. |

This is the third middle school my child has attended and the seventh grade teachers are wonderful. The social studies teacher keeps parents informed via email, the science teacher has a zoo that keeps students interested. . Having my children attend Bonaire is the best choice I have amde so far. |

Bonaire has a great band program which gave my child a feeling of acceptance and a peer group to 'hang' with. He did not know how to play an instrument when school started but he is learning very quickly. The teachers here are very involved with the children and I have always felt welcome when I have been at the school. I highly recommend Bonaire Middle School. |

Vice Prinicpal listens, but does what is Politically correct and is close minded to fact. Must have documented facts can not just have theories. School teachers are great, it is just the administration that is very difficult to deal with. Hint for any incoming parent, if you have any worry, contact the office each and every time to have a documented history. Otherwise, your child will be left out in the cold and your words will not be considered. Does not give out equitiable punishments to fit the occurence. |
