| 1/29/2012 | parent | Like all public schools, Graysville has its problems. The biggest problem is that the current principles do not want to address serious those problems, especially the bullying. I know of 4 different times in which they looked the other way. Another thing I hate is how some of the teachers are rude and hateful to some of the kids. My son learned a couple of new bad words back in 2nd grade from a couple of them! They more or less teach kids the answers and prepare them to pass the next test instead of teaching them how to think and prepare them for their future. Once students reach the 4th grade, they are expected to be as mature as students 2 or 3 grades ahead of them. We were so frustrated by the teacher and staff, and hate the public school system so much, that we pulled my son out in the middle of the school year and began homeschooling him. As a parent trying to be involved and help the school, I was even treated badly and felt unwelcome. |
| 10/29/2009 | other | Graysville Elem. is a school, the way a school should be. The staff is confident and caring, altho I do not have a child there now, my greatgrand daughter started Kindergarden there, and moved from the district before the 2nd grade, I visited there enough to see and meet many of the teachers, office staff, the counselor is very special. She was one of many, but treated as one, her stay there will be a beautiful memory for her as well as all of this family. I think this is a school that deserves many good things to come their way, Thank you, Graysville, Keep up the good work. A proud grandmother and greatgreat Mother |
| 9/17/2009 | parent | I love the homey atmosphere. I love that the teachers are always willing to help, and they go above and beyond helping with studetn achievement. It is just a great learning environment for kids. |
| 9/16/2009 | parent | My daughter and I love this school and would not have her anywhere else! |
| 1/27/2009 | parent | Pretty good School focuses way too much on Standardized testing each year. |
| 11/6/2008 | teacher | As a teacher with many years experience in another state, I have to say that my time at Graysville has been the best of my career. This wonderful neighborhood school offers one of the most nurturing and academically rigorous environments of any school in the area, public or private. Families who are moving to the north Georgia area should take a look at Graysville before they decide on a school district. |
| 6/18/2008 | parent | This is an amazing school. My oldest child went to one the best schools in the county right across the state line from Graysville and I have to say there is no comparison. Having my kids at Graysville is like being able to send them to a private school without having to pay the tuition. The teachers are wonderful and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The leadership speaks for itself. The past two principals have gone on to be the county superintendants. I would not send my children anywhere else. |
| 11/13/2007 | parent | I moved to Ringgold to get my son into Graysville Elementary because I heard such great things about it. My son went there from 3rd through 5th and I never heard a discouraging word from parents or teachers the entire 3 years. The formaer Principal is now the Superintendent of the county school system and she can be found in attendance at funtcions throughout the county on a most consistant basis. |
| 9/10/2007 | parent | Excellent school! My son is now a 4th grader and would not attend school anywhere else! We love the teachers, the curriculum and every aspect of the school. The teachers are there for nothing more than making a difference in a child's life I would recommed Graysville to any parent! |
| 1/13/2005 | parent | My daughter is reading in kindergarten. What more do I need to say? She loves the faculty and especially loves music and gym. Graysville is providing quality care and going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our children are happy and emotionally healthy. Thank you! |
| 9/7/2004 | parent | This school is excellent. I also attended Graysville along with my brother. We both enjoyed it. Now, I have one child that has graduated and another in first grade. The teachers and principals have always been wonderful. If for any reason a child needs extra help they are there as a friend and a leader. Thank you Graysville for being above the rest. |
| 11/28/2003 | parent | Excellent public school; the quality is at or above the level of relatively expensive local private academies. |
