| 1/26/2012 | parent | My daughters started going to Kennedy last school year when we bought a house in the school's district. We absolutely love this school. The teachers are really special and the principal is one of a kind, They adress my daughters by their first name and they've both received specialized support to help them catch up from a less-than-perfect school district we previously moved out of. This school deserves a perfect score. I cant say enough about how grateful i am for these educators. they've been a real blessing to our family. |
| 12/11/2009 | parent | The teachers really make this school special. They are willing to do anything to help children succed. I truely love this school. |
| 10/15/2009 | parent | Our family loves Kennedy Elementary School in Winder, Georgia. It is filled with a stellar group of teachers, administrators, staff and students! |
| 9/28/2009 | parent | The staff and teacher are so wonderful. The principal know each student by name. The teachers care about the students and want them to be successful. The atmosphere and mood when you walk into the doors is the best place for anyone to learn. |
| 9/21/2009 | parent | I have 3 children that attend Kennedy. All 3 of them absolutely love going to school and have great things to say about the staff.Having 3 kids in the same school it seems like 1 of them always has something going on and I must say the staff at Kennedy has often gone out of their way to help us keep things straight. All 3 of the kids are in the after school program at Kennedy as well and we could not ask for more.Kennedy is a huge part of our family and we feel that the staff there cares just as much about our children's education, safety, and happiness as we do. Thanks Kennedy!! |
| 9/21/2009 | parent | Kennedy Elementary School is the most loving, yet efficient school I have ever been involved with. The amazing staff has given our children the very best education offered in our county, and quite possibly our state. I would put our school up against ANY other elementary school in ANY affluent community for the happiest, most encouraged, and certainly most loved children. KES is a place for every child to grow and earn an excellent education! |
| 9/19/2009 | parent | I have 3 children and my youngest is finishing up at Kennedy. All my children have had a awesome experience because of the dedication of the teachers and staff. This school has been transformed from 2000 to the present. I am proud that my children have attended there. |
| 9/19/2009 | parent | Kennedy elementary is a good school for any parent to enroll their child in,because the staff is willing to take up time with each student,by working with them individually,i have 2 already going there, and they said that they enjoy the experience they have with their teachers, they are paitent and kind. What a great school. |
| 9/18/2009 | parent | Great staff and always striving to be better. |
| 9/18/2009 | parent | Kennedy Elementary is an awesome school. The principal, teachers and staff care for the children and strive to provide the best possible learning environment. My children are learning at an advanced level and their lives are being enriched through their experiences at Kennedy. |
| 9/18/2009 | other | Kennedy has a lot to offer. They are focused on educating every child and go out of their way to meet the needs of all the families. |
| 9/17/2009 | parent | Kennedy has a wonderful atmosphere of care and love. The faculty and staff treat you like a member of a loving family. Kennedy has progressive programs and seems to be looking at what is always best for its students. |
| 9/17/2009 | other | Kennedy is a place where they really care about their employees and students! |
| 9/17/2009 | parent | We have the most awesome faculty and teachers!! Our kids are wonderful too -- they are a delight to work with! |
| 9/17/2009 | parent | Kennedy Elementary School is a wonderful place to work and to send your children! |
| 9/16/2009 | parent | The instructional program is top notch! My kids can't wait to go to school every single day. My husband and I feel blessed that KES has such caring and innovate leaders and staff. Go Dragons! |
| 9/16/2009 | parent | All the teachers and staff at Kennedy work hard to meet the needs of the children where they are. They offer programs in the morning before school as well as afterschool. They have really put a emphasis on math and writing while continuing to have extraordinary reading instruction. The other thing I can say about Kennedy is that children know they are loved and cared for when they come to school. The staff and administration believe in the kids and know they will be successful if they work hard. |
| 9/16/2009 | teacher | Our staff is a group of incredible people dedicated to the learning and success of our students. Our students are a group who come in each day ready to learn, respecting all, and responsible for their own learning. It is a positive and loving place to work and learn every day! |
| 9/16/2009 | parent | I teach at Kennedy and I love the school because we have such a great staff that is dedicated to serving students and their families. Our teachers, staff, and administration go above and beyond to provide support and our students and their families are worth it. |
| 9/16/2009 | parent | We have the greatest teacher and people ever working here! Everyone really cares! |
| 9/16/2009 | teacher | Kennedy is a wonderful place with a great family environment! |
| 11/16/2008 | parent | Kennedy faculty and staff are very caring. Both of my children attended there and I have been very pleased wtih how caring the teachers were. I was always notified of grades, upcoming events, etc. The SCOPE program is to be commended. The school building showcases student work. The KES faculty and staff are the best! |
| 2/14/2008 | parent | I'm very impressed with Kennedy. I have found them to be a very caring, responsive and academically superiour environment for both my children. I have one who's now moved on to Westside Middle and one who's a first grader. The faculty are extremely approachable and communicate well. I do agree with a previous comment that the parent pick up and drop off lacks a bit in efficiency. But overall - it's a great school. |
| 9/19/2007 | parent | Kennedy has classroom teachers who are caring with students. They put alot of effort into treating and managing students and individual needs the student might have. If you are a car rider....this is where the joke begins. The administration is rarely present, you may find 3 support personnel assisting a very heavy drop off period in the morning. Rarely does administration participate. You have much more contact with the sassistant principal who seems to care alot about the students.Personnel assisting students have no idea who they are putting the child in the car with because no system for identification exists. I've yet to see the principal on any visit I have made to the school. |
| 8/10/2007 | parent | Kennedy Elementary teachers are exceptional when it comes to teaching to the strengths of individual students. Both of my children have attended KES and have different needs. I couldn't be happier with how the teachers have met both of their needs. Parent involvement has certainly improved over the past several years. The art and music teacher offer after school programs to enrich their programs and those students who attend. The gifted program has grown by leaps and bounds in the years that my students have attended this school. I would not want my kids to attend any other school. I couldn't be happier. |
| 7/10/2007 | parent | Kennedy Elementary is synonymous with quality! The teachers are top quality along with the administrators. Staff members are responsive to individual needs. A warm, supportive, nurturing climate is pervasive at Kennedy. As a gifted child, my daughter is taught to use Bloom's Taxonomy for higher level thinking. My child is certainly receiving an education commensurate with her abilities. I personally would not want my child to go anywhere else! We couldn't be any more pleased. |
| 2/21/2007 | parent | We moved from the Gwinnett County School System last summer and I have to tell you that I was concerned about the level of education that would be provided at Kennedy. My son was in the FOCUS program and transferred into SCOPE with no problems. He seems to have more fun here and is not teased/bullied by other students about being smart like he was at his school in Gwinnett. Kennedy has a good grasp on teaching our children morals as well as giving them a great education. |
| 10/21/2004 | parent | I disagree strongly with the statement that Kennedy is lacking in administration and responsiveness. My child is in her 3rd year (k-2) and I couldn't be more pleased! She was selected for the SCOPE class, and loves the constant challange and praise from all of her teachers. I always receive responses via e-mail/telephone within 24 hours, and have always felt welcome anytime I visit the school. There are always 3-4 teachers opening doors in the mornings and assisting with pick-up and I have always found this experience to be a pleasant one. I recently moved, and a big part my choice in location was due to the fact that my daughter could remain in this school. With a caring staff, and genuine leadership from the administrators, I feel that this is the ideal place for my child to learn and grow! |
| 7/24/2004 | parent | My child attended 4th grade 2003, this school lacks in administrative skills, the school has two very small routes to get in to drop off kids, you could stay in line from 7:30 - 7:45 waiting to get in and be considered late once you finally reached the door. The grounds are not equipped to get in and out safely and timely. Teachers were bad about communicating with parents. It took my childs teacher two weeks to respond to 4 inquires and persistence on my part. The school looks after the staff and teachers but totally disregards children/ parents. When complained of this I was told they would look into it and even admitted the mistakes made but no solution ever made. Teachers yelled at students continuously. School has alot of growing and learning. |
