| 2/2/2011 | parent | I volunteer twice a week at Pike County Primary and i absolutely love my little girl's teacher. The new principal (my old spanish teacher from Pike County High) is friendly and really seems to care about the staff and the kids. I wouldn't want my little girl to go to school anywhere else! |
| 10/12/2010 | teacher | I grew up in Pike County Schools and taught there most of my teaching career or 30 years. We always stsrive for the very best for our students. |
| 2/10/2010 | parent | My son is now in 2nd grade, and he has been in the primary school since pre-k. We have had nothing but a wonderful experience with the teachers and the administration up until this year. All the teachers that my son has had, have been really didicated to each individual student and their success at their level. That being said, this year the school has a new prinicpal that has been less than helpful with the students and the teachers. I for one really miss the past prinicpal who went out of his way to help and faciliate the teacher/parent and student relationship to better the educational value of each student. This year, the new prinicipal seems very opposed to parent interaction and even though some parent classes are offered at the school, I and other parents feel very restricted from interacting with our children at school. |
| 2/9/2010 | parent | I think pike primary prek is a really great program, and the teachers are really great working with the kids. |
| 7/4/2008 | parent | I have had nothing but good things with this school. They have always done what they could to help me in any way. The school is one reason why I do not want to leave Pike Co. It's hard to find such a great place of learning. |
| 7/5/2006 | parent | The schools are good, especially the primary and elementary school. Everyone there cares for and loves the children very much. They stress kindness, morals, etc. The middle school was not good at all in my daughters experience. The high school is also good. My complaint is with the 'district' special education department. | 7/31/2005 | parent | I would like to say I am very please with the curriculum they have here. The teachers, office personale, all staff is friendly and courteous. I am looking forward to a new year with this school and cannot wait to get involved. My daughter loved it and I noticed a lot in a short time of coming here from another district. I could not say enough good things about this school. They concentrate on what really matters and that is the students our children's education and not just scores or trying to parent which is our job. They do there job and beyond and for that I am thankful. Great Job! I do wish more of a playground but that is really it. |
| 2/27/2004 | former student | Hi, I am a former student of this school system. I was in the middle of my third grade school year when I my family moved to Kentucky. I am now a senior in High School. I am doing a report and would like to ask if someone would please send me a pic of the school system, that I may include it in my report. Thank you for your help Sincerely, Bradley Edgerton |
