| 4/30/2012 | parent | This was my first year with Calvin and I must say that I was exceptionally pleased. The staff and teachers are extremely caring and truly have a vested interested in the children. The integration of Christ based education and real world subjects is seamless. The educators show that God exists in everything that the children study. I love how well informed the parents are kept with newsletters, emails etc and I love even more how enthused my children are about attending school each day. I was very impressed with how involved the principal was in the everyday functions of the school. Seeing him outside greeting students in the morning and bidding them farewell in the afternoon truly let me know what type of school I was sending my children to. Everyone is very close knit, like an extended family. One other important aspect that is very impressive is the amount of parent involvement. I will say that the tuition is a bit pricey compared to some of the other schools in the area, but after giving it a test run this year I'd definitely say that its worth every dime. I would highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a great Christian education for their elementary child. |

The academic lessons prepared me for a competitive high school, and I graduated in the top of my class. But the highest compliment I can pay this school relates to its Christian values; I had no idea how much I was learning about my faith until it was tested in college. My peers came to me to ask spiritual questions, and I referred to lessons I learned in grade school. I'm old enough to realize now what my parents sacrificed to send me to Calvin, and I appreciate every minute they volunteered and every penny they paid; it was more than worth it. |
