| 3/22/2011 | parent | This school leaves a lot to be desired. They have continuously been identified for improvement, but things just seem to be getting worse. The problems start at the top. Most of their teachers don't seem to be doing what they enjoy, are often scattered and shouldn't be teaching. There are however several great teachers here that are a godsend. Unfortunately the bad seems to outweigh the good. If you have a choice as to where your children attend school this should not be your first one. |
| 6/10/2009 | parent | I moved here in 2006 and found that brownstown is a very well educated place, my daughter has learned more then I ever hoped for. There are lessons she has learned that I never knew until my 9th or 10th grade years. I would never had guessed that my child would have learned so much as she did here in Brownstown. She loves the schools and her friends not to mention the teachers. I wanted to say thank you to everyone that made my daughter an honor roll student I can't thank you enough. Thank you Brownstown Elementary you are the best school I have seen yet. |
| 12/5/2006 | parent | I only attended Brownstown for a short while growing up. However, both of my children attend Brownstown Elementary. My son, in 4th grade, and my daughter, in Kindergarten. I wouldn't have it any other way. My kids love their school and their hometown. My son has especially had a wonderful year this year with Mr. Wheeler as his 4th grade teacher. I have seen an amazing change in my son this year and believe it is due to this teacher. So thank you Mr. Wheeler. |
| 8/10/2005 | parent | I grew up here. I went through school here and graduated here. I wouldn't see my kids going to school anywhere else. In my opinion, there are a few things that could change around here, but nothing big. It's a small school, which means more one on one time. No pat downs when you walk in the door. I feel my children are safe in the school. And with their teachers. Some of the teachers I had myself or I graduated with. Makes me feel more comfortable. Keep up the good work. |
