Yes the school is dirty and yea we've had a bird fly around in the gym. I do agree that the classes are WAY to easy and yes, violence is a huge problem. On the contrary, there are not fights everyday. Sometimes not for weeks! In the grade level, we're kind of like a huge family: You fight with some, some you never met or heard of, some you don't talk to, and some are your favorites. |
| 8/2/2010 | parent | My son was beat up the 2nd week of school last year,which was his first year,6th grade. The students have wear their shirts tucked in beacause of possible weapon possesion! Most of the teachers do not care at all. My son sometimes cries that he doesn't want to go. He is bullied every day. He is a big strong boy but doesn't want to have to defend himself every day. The onlt decent reviews are 4 plus years old. I will do everything I can to get my son out of this school. The asst. principle is the one shining light in a very dark place. |

I hate the fact that my son goes there because most of the teacher's don't care and don't know how to teach, the school is full of bully's and the principal is totally incompetent. I shadowed my son for one day and I felt like I was at the zoo. Everybody there that has authority has no control. There are assaults everyday after school. I have been forced to permit my son to fight to defend himself because the principal cannot provide him with safety. I hope he gets replaced and soon. Parents please talk with your children to make sure they are not being bullied because this is part of the reason why children bring weapons to school. |

My daughter's reading level went up and the school is preparing her for high school/college. She is actually doing high school level assignments. She has read 5 books thus far and only three months into the school year. This is a great school with caring teachers/principal! |
| 9/20/2007 | student | I go to the school i would say that the teachers are verry good principal you dont really hear about her doing too much its mostly the vice principal that seems to get involved students here act horrible rude and very imature the school is really horrible desks chairs are wobbiling broken and probly everything was there when it was built although there is some nice desks that are newer but there are 1,000's of things that get unnoticed and ignored it has got a little better I dont think the dresscode made it any better over all its horrible and the food is horrible but the staff are very nice but over all i kind of gave it a way nicer review than i could of!!!!!! students are horrible and way under educated |

We have lived in Arizona for the past 13 years, she attended Scott only while business was attended to in my hometown of Hammond. I will tell you all this, Scott is not a school, it is a zoo. It always has been. From the time I was growing up until now. Rather than education and growth being nurtured there, violence and complacency reign supreme. The place needs to be leveled and a real school built in its place. I fear for all that send their children to Scott. |

| 8/18/2004 | parent | In my experience at this school in regards to my children I would have to save that this school saved my girls, compared to the school they transferred from, at the other school they had not learned anything and had to fight every day. But, Oh No! Not and Scott, they went there with a new beginning and showed that they were there to get an education. Their grades improved tremendously! Thanks Ms Escalante and Staff, for showing my girls that there are public school staff members that really do care! |

I do not like it when other students are dressed like sluts or punks we all should be wearing nice clothes like preps. My favorite teachers are Ms. Jessica Orlando and Ms. Dunn they are the best teachers. |
| 10/6/2003 | parent | My son was an ABC honor roll student until he got to this school. The teachers are overwhelmed, the parents don't care about their childrens education. When in a conference with my sons teachers, I asked what the problem was and they claimed threr were too many boys in the class and they couldn't keep them under control, which I saw first hand while waiting for a meeting with my sons computer teacher, as I stood outside the class waiting I observed a students out of control, kids yelling, student standing on his desk while the teacher yelled shut up, sit down to no evail. My son lost all hope while at this school. He wasn't doing homework. On report cards and progress reports the teachers didn't even take time to write comments in the comment areas. |
