| 10/22/2012 | parent | Love religion mixed with education; love the many diverse enrichments; love that the principal doesn't show favoritism; love the small class size for grade school; love being able to go to assemblies, pep rallies, etc.; love the parental involvement; love the cafeteria food; love the weekly Masses; love that I can walk my child to class in the morning and greet her at the classroom door in the afternoon; love that the rules in the handbook are enforced |
| 7/2/2010 | parent | The class sizes at this school are entirely too large for the children to get decent one on one help at any given time. Also many issues seem to get swept under the rug very often. There is now a new principal. We are watching to see what changes are going to be made. If things don't start changing we are considering leaving. |
| 3/15/2010 | parent | OLQH School has given both of my children a remarkable faith and a personal confidence level that I could not achieve as a parent alone. Building a caring, confident, and faith-filled child is not something a parent can easily do alone. It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child and this is a wonderfully caring place. The parents & staff work together to love and support each child. Thank you OLQH for the wonderful education that you have given my children. |
| 4/5/2007 | parent | I have three children at OLQH. We've been at the school nine years now. The teachers and staff are very caring and communicate well with parents. The school has strong academics and I believe a majority of the students care about their grades and want to do well-- good attitudes that rub off and encourage other peers. Parents are very involved, and being a smaller school you can get to know the families well, and get a good idea of who your children are hanging around. Also the Christian environment is priceless for helping children develop moral values. There are plenty of extracurricular activities and sports to meet a range of interests. |
| 2/21/2006 | parent | We researched and toured various school in the area. OLQHS was the one I was most pleased with. I am now extremely satisfied with OLQHS. The faculty and staff demonstrates a strong focus on student learning and spritual development. We love the atmoshere and the 'family like' support it provides. OLQHS is the best school! |
| 9/27/2004 | parent | My child has been at OLQH for 7 years. The people are wonderful. The staff is loving and caring. Every school has its drawbacks. Schools can't be everything for your child you must participate and help educate. Some of the parents can be snotty but the majority of the 'real' people who do the percentage of volunteering are wonderful loving caring individuals. My child is getting a quality, christian education. I would not have her anywhere else and I work for a public school entity! |
| 2/23/2004 | parent | Seems like a great school. My kids are happy 80% of the time. They feel like a lot of these kids are brats and when you meet the parents you see where they get there attitudes. It's a shame because the faith atmosphere is what we want for our kids. Don't know what to do, stay or go! |
| 9/9/2003 | parent | OLQH is an excellent school. The enviornment is superb-structured but very caring and loving. My 2 children are recieving an excellent education here. |
| 8/26/2003 | parent | The whole staff of this school is very interested in not only the children's education and religion growth, but the total growth of the child. They are very caring and helpful people when there is a family in need or is experiencing rough times in their personal lives. They are truly a family oriented learning establishment. |
| 8/10/2003 | former student | I think that OLQH is the best school in southwest Louisiana that kids can go to. You should see, every year the school progresses stronger and stronger. I bet the school will be here for a long time. |
