| 1/16/2011 | student | I am currently a student at GPHS, this was not my first choice, but, I am a satisfied freshman at the school. GPHS, is great, I have learned so much. I am currently a 3.6 student, I am working for better, and my teachers, are doing a great job helping me, It's fun, and a great environment, it's not as "dangerous" as people like to make it seem. I think they do it because it is a PGCPS. But it's not dangerous at all. It's actually a pretty decent school, I recommend it. |
| 9/16/2010 | parent | THIS IS MY SON 1ST YR. AN HE SAID THE SCHOOL IS GREAT. WE MOVE HERE FROM DETROIT, TEACHERS ARE GREAT STUDENTS ARE NICE AN HE IS ADJUSTING WITH NO PROBLEMS. GREAT CHOICE MY WIFE MADE. |
| 7/19/2010 | parent | I love this school! My daughter is a 4.0 student and although I give her all the kudos because of her dedication and ambition, I think that she is also inspired to rise above the rest because of the love and guidance she recieves from the teachers and staff. As we know leadership starts at the top.. Ms. Marrow is an excellent leader and I am sad to see her leave but 'm sure that MS. malone will pick up from where she left off and lead our young adults on the right path! |
| 2/24/2010 | parent | I would love to thank this school ,the ROTC and the affliated with Andrews Airforce Base ,my son is now serving the USA military airforce because of this school,God Bless you all. |
| 8/14/2009 | parent | Great School for Academics |
| 5/28/2009 | parent | GPHS is an outstanding school when compared with any public school. I speak from experience from growing up in another state and through my travels in the military. GPHS is on par. Like ALL schools, there's room for improvement, but most of that is a nation school issue... training, pay, flexibility. GPHS is on par. |
| 1/3/2008 | parent | This is a very good and safe school. Many activities for the young people. It is sometimes challenging communicating with some teachers. |
| 6/13/2007 | parent | This school is the best both my children have gone there an I love the teachers. |
| 5/11/2007 | student | Gwynn Park High School is by far the greatest public high school in PGC I have ever been to, and I say this because I am currently enrolled as a student (Junior) at GPHS. Gwynn Park isn't as dangerous as people proclaim.Gwynn Park has a good working environment and the students there are very easy to get along with. Most us students are serious about learning. Our teachers are very dedicated to their job. Don't blame the school for some of the student's behavior.'blame the parents |
| 5/9/2007 | parent | This is not a place you will want to send your child. The parent involvement may be low because of the way people are treated there. Sport are good if that's all you want and not and education. |
| 5/8/2007 | staff | Extra-Curricular activities at Gwynn Park are plentiful, however quality education and leadership are a little harder to find. |
| 2/22/2006 | student | the extracurriclur activitys are great in gwynn park but the math and english are not to good . Also the level of parent involvement is non-existent . |
| 11/4/2004 | parent | This School is one of the places in the county to get an education from. I know for sure because I attended Gwynn Park. We provide you with a great education as well as a great athletic program. this school also has great program for students as well. But the bad thing is that their are no activity buses. |
| 2/8/2004 | parent | My son and daughtor are both enrolled at Gwynn Park High School. The school is 5 years behind in technology. From what I hear the school is built for 950 students but its a all time record of over 1400 students. The school does offer much needed after school activities and is open and advertised to everyone. |
