| 3/21/2011 | other | Anyone who say K.P isn't a great school, is wrong. i am also a student there and i love it so much! i wouldn't want to leave it for anything!! Lots of my very good friends are children with special needs, and those kids are also a part of student council, patrols, and more. So yes, everyone is completely welcome and involved! The teachers are the best and they are just so generous and always have time for the students!! K.P is absolutely awesome and i give it 5 stars!! |
| 9/14/2010 | parent | It is true, K-P is a beautiful school with a wonderful art integration program. Unfortunately all special needs students are not accommodated. More from a lack of teacher knowledge than a willingness to help children. It only takes one student to fall behind to make you wonder about others. |
| 5/13/2010 | other | Wonderful school and staff ! Inclusive with kids with special needs !! Bravo ! |
| 5/13/2010 | other | Kensington welcomes all it's students with open arms and a loving heart. Thank you Kensington Parkwood Elementary School. |

| 4/25/2010 | parent | KP has arts integration which helps children blend school with the arts. Their imagination grows and it helps children learn more efficiently and effectively. Also, the teacher's there are fantastic in every grade level. The principal is innovative and current with teaching practices. The school noticeable works hard for each individual student to succeed. There are plenty of programs for after-school, specials in school, reward programs, reflections instead of punishments, postive attitudes, etc. It's all you can ask of a school. Private school advantages in a public school. |

The staff has been so instrumental in helping to put a plan in place to address the special needs of my child, and I am confident they are doing the same for all children with special needs of any kind. I am so futunate to live in such a wonderful community/county such as Montgomery County in Maryland. KP is top notch! |
| 4/22/2010 | parent | Kesington Parkwood Elementary is a wonderful school with terrific teachers and an incredible arts integration program. The third grade opera is a program unlike any other in which the students create, produce, direct and perform a play of their own imagination. The teachers are warm adn caring, and it reflects in the students' love of learning. |

| 3/19/2009 | parent | Thanks to the efforts of incredible parent volunteers and top-notch school leadership, KP offers many of the benefits found in a private school. Best of all, my son is safe and secure while receiving a top rate education. Here are a few of the 'extras' provided by KP. (1) Students get weekly Italian lessons from a full-time teacher provided by the Italian Embassy. (2) The arts integration program with the Kennedy Center provides the school a full time art instructor shared by the grades. (3) Students study a variety of artists, and create art using different mediums - from wire sculptures to mosaics. (4) Third graders write, direct and produce their own opera. (5) Fourth graders write folk stories, and perform them on puppets made under the supervision of a professional puppet company. Add to this a kind, enthusiastic and cohesive staff. What more could a parent or child want? |
| 6/19/2007 | parent | Wonderful school! Involved and smart teachers, small student body for our district, Arts Integration program incredible. Curriculum the standard district mess but KP does somehow manage to make it work really well. |
| 9/18/2006 | parent | My granddaughter is a 2nd year (4th grade) student at KP. She attended Scripps Ranch area school in San Diego before...KP has an excellent academic program and especially extracurriculum programs (foreign language) music, etc. She loves the school and has done very well. |
| 4/17/2006 | parent | Wonderful School! Principal and parents are very involved. Curriculum is challenging and my child loves all the extra art and music that comes from the Arts Integration program. Also the school provides wonderful after school programs and clubs. A+ |
| 9/15/2004 | parent | This is a fantastic school. The principal, Mr. C, has managed to create great partnerships with the NY Met Opera, Kennedy Center, Smithsonian. The teachers are dedicated and the PTA is involved. It shows how well a public school can work even in these difficult financial times. |
