| 10/30/2012 | parent | I simply could not care less whether the principal is seen spectating at "sporting events" or any other community event. He does however lead a great outdoor program in the Frankenmuth Outdoor Explorers Club. He also goes out of his way to make all students feel welcome and continually searches for new and innovative ways to do so, be it in the classroom, hallway or cafeteria. My student's homework is relevant and rigorous and his teachers are caring and professional. But maybe the Oct. 28 poster is right, let's not judge our principals based upon academic outcomes but as to whether the principal sits in the stands and watches your little Billy kick a soccer ball or cozies up in the BPAC to watch your little Janie do her best imitation of a purple tree in Seussical. |
| 10/28/2012 | parent | In the past I have rated EFR as excellent. However, under the administration of Mark Whelton I can only think of the TItanic slowly sinking. Mr Whelton is a big talker and nothing more. He misuses his power and is not a team player when it comes to dealing with parents. He has done nothing to make EFR any better and he does not try to do anything except talk a big game. He has no experience in what he is doing and should not be guiding our students or mentoring his very young staff. He is simply not packing the gear that this school deserves. EFR could be an amazing place with the right leadership. It has great students and a staff that is of high quality. However, Mr Whelton simply shows up and sits behind a desk with a title. He does nothing more. The other school administrators and superintendent are present and involved in sporting events, the arts and other community events. Mr Whelton is not seen at anything outside of the confines of EFR. We truly have done our children and community a disservice by putting Mr Whelton in the position he is in. |
| 5/6/2011 | parent | This is a great school, love the staff and organization on every event and projects the school arrange to develop and prepare our kid, moreover the personalized focus to help our kids |
| 4/13/2010 | parent | Our school is committed to academic excellence and demands the most out of the students. |
| 2/27/2010 | parent | I have one leaving EFR and one entering and I am looking forward to 4 more years at EFR. It is a great environment and a learning environment. Middle School years are tough and the staff at EFR helps us weather the storm. The staff expects much from themselves and it is reflected on to the students. It is a great place to be! |
| 11/29/2007 | parent | This is a nurturing, well-run school filled with teachers and administrators that really care. We have had kids in RMS for many years now, and am so thankful for those who touched their life in such a positive way. |
| 1/12/2006 | parent | like with any middle school, these children at this age are impressionable, and it is very important to be an involved parent. The school is good, however the teachers need to realize that they have a great responsibility in regard to what they say to the students, and how they act and react. They are leaving a lasting impression on the students...whether it be a positive one or negative. |
