| 8/20/2011 | parent | Unfortunately, this school does not have a challenging curriculum. They have young, inexperienced teachers who do not have any depth to their teaching. Examples of poor teaching included some teachers playing videos all hour for 3-4 days a week; Others unable to manage their classrooms, spending their entire time on the difficult kids;others working on their Masters program during class time, giving hours of free time to the kids. Overall, they are teaching very slowly, and teaching to the MEAP. The teachers do not want to do anything beyond the minimum and it shows. Class size is huge... there are about 34 kids per class. Apparently because they have some classes with a few kids in them, like for special ed, so they are able to claim a class ratio of 20-1. It is an impersonal, poor school, with a lot of issues including drugs, disinterested students, with a principal more interested in sports than in academics. Overall, my child has moved on, and I look back over the years and am so disappointed in their program. I hope the new Superintendent will take a hard look at this school and get it up to a minimum standard. In the meantime..try GB West Middle School. |

When u need help with stuff at home, or someone recently died, or anything or even bullying they are there to help. Officer Theede is awesome, and the principal mrs. kruse, and vice principal Mr. Harbon are the best and i couldn't ask for a better school to go to. |
| 5/26/2011 | parent | If your child has special needs, please do NOT send your child to this school. They are completely useless when there are any concerns, and will not help you at all. My son has been bullied and threatened and they have done nothing to stop it. Instead they told me that my autistic son "annoys" the other kids. They are completely unprofessional, and in my experience do not have any care or compassion for the special needs students. |

| 1/13/2009 | student | Im a student here at grand blanc east middle school and are enrolled in very cool and usefull electives. Right now im in multimedia, you learn about producing tv shows and how to edit them. Im also in a technology class, we learn how to make and edit websites. We also play a fake stock market game and learn alot about inversting. In a few weeks though i will have p.e and tech ed. I love it here, the teachers are super cool, its new and big, nice people, and the kids dont judge on what you wear and look like (most of the time unless its really bad). I never want to leave. |

I like that there are 8 reports on your child so you know how your child is doing and giving your child time to make a change. Again I like the school and looking forward to a NEW YEAR here. |

We had and undefeated basketball season this year in 8th grade and have very high-quality teachers. Though our school's budget was cut low, Grand Blanc Middle School East always delivers the right academics and always knows what is and what is not important. The math program may not be the best. |

This is very state of the art school I am a student here these schools are just a cool place to be at all of the times. The school has a lot of technology in its room like A production room for us to broadcast TV even more high technology than most colleges. The teachers are very enthusiastic at what they do They take pride at what they do also if you were to move here your kids will love it. The teachers and principles are so kind to there kids. This is a very Rich community specializing in everything you will love it if you move here. Come and see how awesome it is yourself. |
