| 6/26/2010 | parent | The preschool needs to step it up. I feel that their is not enough structured learning going on. The weekly fee charged to attend is a lot for just play time. My children can play at home for free. I understand that children learn through free play and the socialization skills they are learning are very valuable. However, I would like to see more worksheets showing actual progress. This also indicates to me that teacher's are being hands on and interacting with the students. I believe that their should be a student to teacher connection and I did not see that in my child's classroom. I'm also a little disappointed with parent involvement. I saw parents show up for class parties but assisting with anything was non-existent. I was told it was because it was a disruption to the classroom although I did not quite understand the logic behind it. |
| 4/26/2010 | parent | 3 year old preschool - is great for learning the social skills that are needed throughout life, however I do believe that the children are not being challenged on the academic level at all. Not that it should be part of the daily schedule, but should be available to those who are ready. How do you know if not offered. Three hours is alot of time for children to have open play. |
| 4/23/2010 | parent | needs a change, the principal has been there TOO long |
| 9/18/2008 | parent | Teachers are getting better, there are some new teachers that are really good. The Principal is not as good as the school should have. She seems reluctant to notify parents when there is a problem or incident involving the child. My child has told me about things I feel the Principal should have handled and notified us about and not ignore the issue. |
| 10/9/2007 | parent | I agree, Clever Elementary is a great school for academics. Would like to see team sports added to the elementary grades. My only complaint is the constant requests for money. Every week my kids come home with a fund raiser or a need for money for this project or that. |
| 10/8/2007 | parent | The elementary school is a bright and shining treasure. They have several hard working teachers who work at all hours of the day, night, and weekends to make sure the students are getting the best quality of education they can. Last year my son's teacher made an exceptional effort to let his students know that they were all special by showing excitment during their accomplishments and attending many out of school activities. They also sent home communication folders every friday with reports and comments to keep me and my husband informed of how our son was doing. Second grade also did a family reading night every week to show everyone how important reading is. I cannot say enough good things about what I see at Clever's elementary school. |
| 8/21/2006 | parent | My son just started kindergarten at Clever and so far I have really been impressed. If I ever have any questions, I can just email my son's teacher and she responds the same day. I am also thankful that we have a great PTA program out here. It is amazing what they do for our school! |
| 10/11/2005 | parent | Clever schools teacher ratio is excellent, for a accurate count you would be able to call and talk to the secretarty who will supply that infomation. I there is any where from 17-22 in a class. The parent involment is excellent and it is important to join a group like PTA. That group is always supporting or doing something for the kids. Overall the school is excellent and the principle is always concerned with giving the kids the best. The teachers are also wonderful. If I ever have a problem it is looked into and then assest. I am proud to send my child to Clever. |
| 1/14/2004 | parent | Please do not let the student to teacher ratio's fool you. These are not current as pertains to the Elementary School. Most grades have 15 to 18 students per class and the 3rd grade classes have 28-30 students per class. Most of the teachers aer very helpful and encourage parental involvement. The school board however is not receptive to any thought that is not their own. They seem to be more concerned with extra-curriculat activities then they are about the learning. |
