| 5/31/2011 | other | Amazing place to attend and send your children. This is a wonderful environment to learn in. The teachers have a genuine love and concern that your child is doing well. The leadership is amazing and the school is beginning to grow under a new principal. I cannot wait for the day my children are old enough to attend Twin City Christian Academy!! If I lived within fify miles of this school I would make the commute every day it would be well worth every mile. |
| 4/16/2008 | parent | My children have attended Twin City Christian Academy for the last 6 years. I have been extremely pleased with the education they have received and with the sprititual guidance they have been encouraged to follow. I have read these other reviews and for those written in a negative light I am disappointed and troubled. Our students generally score higher on the ACT than the national public school norm and go on to graduate from universities and colleges throughout the nation with degrees in nursing, political science, computer, and engineering to name a few. Those who have spoken negatively in regard to leadership and direction have not a clue what they are talking about. The direction of this school is to educate children and help to train them to serve the Lord. That was the direction in 1974 and it is the direction in 2008! |
| 10/4/2007 | former student | I attended and graduated from Twin City Christian Academy, 3rd through the 12th grade. The teachers were dedicated, the administration maintained a love and a passion that can be matched by no other. These traits, although invaluable cannot equate to a total, quality education. The school is not accredited, not that accredidation is all that, but at least those schools graduate students who do not need to take the GED just to join the military. The teachers, some of which do not even have to have a four year degree. The budget is limited, therefore supplies and technology and the ability to maintain the level of training and education needed is not met. I give the areas of character and integrity an A+, extracurricular activities a D-, academics F. I would homeschool my children before I sent them to TCCA. Sorry, |
| 8/16/2007 | parent | The school just lost a great principal and a great christian man and his wife who is a great christian lady. They will be a great asset wherever they go, I guess the preacher is getting his son-in-law to take the school over like he's taken everthing else over. I recommend homeschooling. |
| 8/16/2007 | parent | Why send your child to a school that is not accredited? Teaching is very poor and leadership is nonexistent. |
| 5/29/2007 | former student | TCCA was a part of my life for many years, They have no football, soccer, chess, teams but they have a all volunteer Cheerleading and a basketball team but there are hardly any schools that they play due too 'standards' eventually this will come back and bite me but I feel that all should know what your getting into. the bible class is very good but due to the lack of teachers there are combined classes (usually a combining of 7-8 and 9-10 and 11-12) there where no graduates of 2007 and a very low population, I was in 8th, 3 people, we where combined with 7th, that made 9 people... |
| 8/22/2006 | parent | This school is one of the best private schools my kids have attended. The teachers really care about the children and the classwork is at a level that put them ahead of the game when they went to college. |
| 8/20/2006 | parent | This is a great school which focuses on academics. The teachers really care for their students. TCCA maintains very high Christian standards, and does not compromise on those standards. |
| 8/13/2005 | former student | This school has totally lost it's direction and that is a result of the terrible leadership in place at the organization. |
