| 10/5/2012 | other | Smithville Middle School is very strict. In the hallways tape is laying on the ground down the middle and you must stay to the right side, if you don't you're punished. The new principal will not allow dodge ball any more. The teachers do not challenge you like they should. The only thing they did right is the band program. |
| 12/29/2007 | parent | We have been in the school district for 4 years. Overall, we have been happy. My son has some disabilities and have had some issues trying to get him tested. Really had to push the teachers to work with him- Not that unusual in a small school district though. |
| 11/1/2007 | parent | Much safer and disciplined than an inner city school. A quiet safe community. Teachers and staff make every day a good day for my children. My children are always learning new things. Healthy lunch program. GREAT map testing scores! Kudos to Smithville School District! |
| 6/24/2004 | student | A great school for all students. Everyone is so involved with the students and they really care. Overall the staff surpasses expectations. They really care. Especially my favorite teachers who double as track coaches: Mrs. O'dell, Mr. Pieper, Mrs. Andersen, and Mrs. Bargman. |
