10/27/2004former studentThis school has received many tech grants of which their tech classes are up to date, they however have not met the standard in core classes, many graduates, including valedictorians, have had to seek tutoring in math and science to get through first year college classes. Vo AG classes are excellant and the instructor is great. If you are interested in sports, you might look elsewhere, Past administration has not saught after coaches that would make a strong sports program. If you seek counseling don't bother with the high school counselor, he just isn't there for the students. Teachers are basically good people, but it takes more than that to make good teachers. I've been dissappointed with this district.
7/6/2004former studentAn excellent school with most of the teachers actually caring about the kids. A lot of 'cliques' but no gang activity. This school has definitely kept up with the times offering some great technology classes and a number of in-between classes for students. An excellent staff is on hand for students who may want an extra moment of instruction with most teachers making themselves available during their free hour to help with assignments/homework. Being an A+School speaks for itself offering free college to committed students, but don't look for any help from the counselor here, who has refused constantly to help any student if he disagrees at all with your child's life goals. He will not help you find educational funding, a good school to attend, or even encourage vo-tech if college is undesirable for any reason. Great school over all, just do your college hunting online.
