| 4/28/2010 | parent | The school is very good. My daughter has learned important skills that will last for life. Her teachers have been very important on her education and influenced her in a very positive way. |
| 11/15/2009 | parent | It is a great school. The teachers are great and the school is very well taken care of. |
| 10/9/2009 | parent | Once again...another great school year.. both my boys have attended aggie roberts since kindergarten ..now they are in middle school..my daughter is in her second year there and i must say ..how pleasing it is for me to have my child attend this school..and yes the principle ..vice principle do know most of the children by name..its a great feeling to pull your car up to the 'kiss and go' lane..and know that your child is in good hands with caring people...and also to the office staff..they are super!!! |
| 10/2/2009 | parent | Have one child attending Aggie Roberts. Open House was just recently and I love!!! The staff!!! They know (or seems like they know) every single student by name... Not because of behavioral reasons either... My 1st grader is in Miss Stupin's class and she is amazing with the kids!!! |
| 9/12/2009 | parent | I have one child attending Aggie Roberts of school age so far and two others in tow. We moved here from out of state and this will be our second year at Aggie Roberts. I must say so far I am very impressed and my child couldn't be happier. Ms. Deihl is an EXCELLENT hands on teacher. The school is very hands on and has a lot to offer. We are very happy here and highly recommend this school. I hope my other two children get the same opportunity when they are ready to start school! |
| 8/19/2009 | parent | I have two children attending Aggie Roberts, with youngest ready to start kindergarten in a few days. We have been at this school for three years, and have had almost nothing but great experiences! I am thrilled with the teachers thus far. I hope to keep my children at Aggie Roberts through 5th grade. Thanks to all the wonderful teachers we've had, and to those yet to come. |
| 5/26/2009 | parent | I love this school. My daughter is in Kindergarten and reading already. Her teacher, Mrs Spear is a star!! She cares so much and really pays attention to where her students are and caters to them personally. This is a great school, I am very happy. |
| 3/22/2009 | parent | Best public school I have had the pleasure to have my kids attend. Everyone goes out of their way to help. Principal and vice seem to know all the students names. Recommend this school to all. |
| 1/20/2009 | parent | I have nothing but good things to say about Aggie Roberts. My son is in first grade now and started going to Aggie Roberts last year in the full day kindergarten proram. HIs kindergarten teach Mrs. Heimark was wonderful, and caring. Within the first month the principal and vice principal knew my son by name, and would greet him by name each morning as we passed them on the way in. Everyone from the librarian, art and music teachers to the cafeteria lady have been nothing but wonderful to us. I can go to work each day knowing that my son is in a safe, healthy environment and that he is being taught by the best. |
| 1/15/2009 | parent | When my kids were rezoned, i was very upset due to the 'ratings'. But all this rating is full of politic !! My child is in all day kindergarten and his teacher is very dedicated. My son has learned so much. Thanks Ms. Heimark. Some of the school activies arent super but then again school is for learning. |
| 11/7/2008 | parent | This school is poor quality and the teachers aren't very interested in the children's education. I'm very disappointed. |
| 9/12/2008 | parent | My chidren have been attending Aggie Roberts for a few years. My daughter is now in 5th grade and my son is in 3rd grade. I volunteer at the school and attend school events. The principal, vice-principal, teachers, office staff and janitors all know my chidren and I by first name. I liked the school so much I began to sub there. As a teacher, I got to know the teachers on a personal level. The staff goes beyond their duties and particpate/volunteer in after school events so the children can have a great experience. My daughter started at Weiner elementary and that school was a great disappointment. The principal did nothing when my daughter kept getting bullied by a boy and a girl. I am very thankful we moved. Their fellow students are very respectful to each other- thanks to the counselor and his anti-bully campaign. |
| 6/5/2008 | parent | Aggie Roberts is a great school. My oldest is now in kinder, and has learned soo much since she's started. They have great parent involvement and school programs. I'm looking forward to my youngest daughter to start there this upcoming school year. |
| 4/5/2008 | parent | Aggie Roberts is a wonderful school. My child has been there for three and a half years, and is in fifth grade this year. The staff is caring and supportive and they really go the extra mile for the kids. |
| 11/23/2007 | other | Aggie Roberts is a great school. The school is involved in the community and always has events for parents and kids! The staff there is very good and teachers are outstanding! |
| 6/8/2007 | parent | my child went there for a year and did not learn anything exept for show and tell and drawing he did not learn anything so i tried 1 more year and that was it i was so gone and so was she hopefully this school will edgacate better |
| 9/20/2006 | parent | My child has just started the fifth grade year at Aggie Roberts Elem. My child has attended since Kindergarten and loves this school!! The principal is fine, the assistant principal is very nice and most of the teachers are ok. There are certainly exceptional teachers at every school. Aggie Roberts has some extremely good teachers and also some very young teachers that do require more experience in handling the diverse levels of teaching (although they need to learn somehow). However, we do really enjoy the school, the teachers, the parents, the kids, Safekey, and extra cirricular activities we're involved in. |
| 8/29/2006 | parent | I think Aggie Roberts is a great school. Both my girls came out of Kindergarten reading very well. My son is starting Kindergarten Wend. I do like the Principal and Vic Principal. Aggie Roberts is a good school and that is my feeling. |
| 5/24/2006 | parent | my son is in kidnergardern this year and i don't like the school at all. I think that the two hours that they do go to school they should be learning more instead of coloring and putting puzzles together. these are things i beleive the children can do at home. I've had a meeting with the principal and for the week the problem was handled, but after that everything went back to the way things were. my son loved preschool and he now hates school because of this year at aggies roberts. they are not a good school. if they were, they would put more time and energy into the children!!! |
| 10/5/2005 | parent | I have a son who started 6th grade this year and he was enrolled in Aggie Roberts since Kindergarten. The first few years there he was learning his teachers communicated well. Then somewhere around 3rd grade he quit doing the homework he did not want to do because he found out that he would advance to the next grade without it. At his age he cannot make a complete sentence or write a well written paragraph. I would think in 3 years of him not completing all of his assinments someone somewhere would have told me, I went to the parent teacher conferences and was not made aware of the problems. I have two other children in 1st grade at this school and hope they will learn something more than my older son. |
| 9/5/2005 | parent | The school principal has always been very good to my 2 children. They've attended since 2001 and have loved it! I've written a letter to her this year, and she called me the same day to address my questions. She's was a big help! The teachers are great. Some in the past have come across a little 'too stern' but I guess that was okay (better than too easy on the kids). We've since moved to another area in Las Vegas, and have gotten a zone exemption to keep them at this school. I highly recommend sending your children there. They truly love the kids and welcome the parents participation! |
| 1/21/2005 | parent | Our son's special needs teacher had him running outside in 104 degree heat when his IEP said he could not be outside after 80-90 degrees because it causes him to have seizures. He had seizures everyday until we moved him to a different school. We also recived no help or support from the principal in getting him his necessary devices in the classroom for him to learn effectively. All in all we have found clark county school district and mainly the southeast region to be the worst for special needs. We will be leaving nevada all together in the summer of 2005. Our son attended for the 2003-2004 school season. |
| 4/27/2004 | parent | I agree with the last post 100%. Since the arrival of the new principal, Ms. Tully, our school has become very political. Within a couple of months after her arrival, many of the outstanding teachers and staff who had worked at Aggie Roberts since opening began putting in transfers to other schools. Out of about 80 Teachers and staff you can now count on one hand the ones that remain. Her motto seems to be 'My way or the Highway.' Regardless of what the parents, teachers or students concerns are. Whether it be an issue within the classroom between children or proposing a different solution or way of doing something, the moment your opinion differs from hers, she just shuts you out. Our school has went from being a wonderful inviting environment to you are an inconvenience from the moment you walk in the door. |
| 7/2/2003 | | A few teachers seem indifferent to problems going on in their classroom and I think the newest principal tends to avoid parents and confrontation when a child is having problems with other children or teachers unless a parent is extremely insistent to meet with her and not the vice principal. Also, papers were sent home with children regarding a meeting with parents and the new changes for upcoming fifth grader and fourth graders the day of the meeting which parents were unable to attend because it was very early evening and they did not receive these until after the meeting had taken place that day. There are many papers that come home with children for parents to be made aware of important functions and meeting after the date of function and I am told by other teachers that at times this can be on purpose. Menus are never sent home with the children until the first Friday after the first of the month, so parents do not always know what is going on. I feel this principal is very sloppy about keeping parents informed of regular daily items and important meeting and it makes it difficult for us to attend. |
