| 7/3/2010 | parent | I question the rating of the parent that rated Priest and its principal so harshly. Budget cuts have negatively effected all CCSD schools. Still, the principal and teachers remain committed to the students and make sacrifices to provide a quality education to each. I also challenge that parent to become more involved at the school to help fill some of the voids created by the budget cuts imposed on all of us. |
| 6/1/2010 | parent | Priest has become a shell of a school with all the buget cuts. No violin or extras. There are many great teachers in the school if you are lucky to get one. What principal? You never see her or hear of her doing anything productive for the school. Same ol' everything every year. No stiving to do better. Our childern deserve a better leader. |
| 11/12/2009 | parent | The principal and special education teacher Ms Garner are the cats meow. What a caring staff if your child goes here they are lucky The pricipal puts kids 1st and holds her staff to high standards though the staff do not need to be coached into giving 100% they turely love teaching |
| 2/22/2009 | student | I love this school the field trips they provide us are very fun! Teachers might tell students more then they need to and that is good |
| 9/30/2008 | parent | Love priest, I try and be a hands on type of parent, and the school has been great, fantastik teachers and office staff is unbelieveable, both my daughters went to other schools and was transfered to priest. both where struggling at another valley school. and got to priest and became a,b students. and love school. my oldest is in jr high this yr. and thanks to priest she was ready. I feel I owe alot to priest and will hold them responsiable for our success!thank you priest for the yrs of fantastik times and memories! |
| 9/11/2008 | parent | Great school. Wonderful staff. My daughters has been there since kindergarden. She loves it. |
| 1/28/2008 | parent | The staff is extremely helpful and caring in our 3 years at this wonderful school. |
| 5/20/2007 | parent | I was astonished at the skill level that the children displayed when it came to the category of performing arts! They were wonderful! I was even happier when Richard Priest Elementary offered Violin classes for Kindergartners. The principle Dr. Grifith is big on extracurricular activities and in the long run this will keep our children motivated and on the right path. |
| 10/18/2006 | parent | I currently have 3 kids enrolled at Priest and they love it there. The ladies in the office are always so helpful to myself, my husband, and kids. The only thing I do have a problem with is they lunch room. There is no communication such as letters home to notify parents of balances left on the lunch cards. With no balance or past due balances, kids are left to eat cereal. This is the only school out of 3 that we have been to that does not send letters in the mail to the parents. Leaving little kids to remind parents. They have enough on their little brains! Mrs. Cook 3rd grade, Mrs. Prihodah 1st grade. By far the best teachers! They are very much into the care of your children! Highly recommend to request them for your child! |
| 8/13/2006 | parent | My child has been attending Priest Elementary since the first grade. He is now a 4th grader. I am very grateful for the professional and caring staff. I can see the great foundation Priest has prepared for my child. |
| 1/16/2006 | parent | The school is not too concerned about shielding the kids from bullys and mean kids in the school. We have had excellent interaction with Mrs. Brown she is in our opinion the only caring teacher in the school. |
| 11/13/2005 | parent | My son is in his second year at Priest. I have been thrilled with the staff there so far. Every time I go to pick him up, all of the staff stops to say hello. They always seem to be happy. My son loves to go to school and I am always kept up to date on everything that is going on in his class! I never have to worry about him while he is there! |
