| 6/21/2008 | student | I am a Dublin grad. and will give the pros and cons.Cons: First, freedom of expression is hampered, partly because of the lack of diversity. Second, dormitory students, those residing in the dorms on the weekends, are somewhat neglected; these kids who are especially far away from home could use extra attention and concern from the faculty. Third, it is difficult to make decisions for oneself as a Christian (decisions like purposing to read one's Bible daily, making Biblical standards of music) because as a boarding student, those choices are made for one. Although, unlike most dissenting students, I respect the standards the school takes. But I believe, they ought to try a new approach intraining Christain leaders by giving the students chances to make biblical choices instead of attempting to regulate every aspect of the students' lives. Pro: My experience at Dublin changed my life dramatically for the better. |
| 4/3/2008 | parent | Steadily increasing tuition costs and elimination of 'mulitple child per family' and 'early pay' discounts have driven many families away from dca. Although this school offers much in terms of extracurricular experiences, such as chorale, drama team, and sports, the disconnected board and administration needs to understand that food and mortgage payments must take priority over private schooling. In tough economic times, a reduction of tuition rates will actually bring in more revenue by allowing more families who would like their children to have a christian education to do so (think conservative politics!) although, overall, this is a good christian school, a good many of the staff (also disconnected from the outside world), exhibit pious and judgemental attitudes toward some students and 'outsider/off campus' families. Unfortunately, the only option for christian schooling in the area! |

| 12/13/2007 | parent | As a former student and parent of two recent graduates, DCA enabled me to achieve postgraduate degrees, compete in the global business world and provide my children with a quality private college education. DCA provides a faith based education lost and long forgot. However, change can be good for example: DCA would do well to bring in a younger mix to its aging board, build alumni programs to improve communications, rotate the position of student dean and establish a student feedback forum that includes parents and faculty. The president of the school is fully aware the school needs to improve the living standards of its talented faculty, recruit and support new hires, create ways to attract and retain students, engage alumni in fund raising events and provide a quality education to our young who need a sense of true north. |
| 12/9/2007 | other | I attended Dublin Christian Academy from the sixth grade through graduation. There are many things both good and bad that can be said about the school and the faculty and staff. Lets face it many kids today are terrible when it comes to standards, and this is a school that has plenty of them, but so does life. Some of the faculty are outdated in thinking but all are there because they want to see young people become outstanding respectful educated adults. Its not for everyone, but for those who can appreciate the strictness and see the ultimate goal it is worth it. |

When I go back to the school to visit, its like going home! The teachers are loving, caring, and want what is best for every student. DCA is a place that puts its focus on preparing young Christians by giving them a strong foundation before entering the world. My life would not be the same without it! |

Dublin is a place where the kids are looked down upon and are not cared for. all they focus on is the bad things the kids do wrong rather than the good. how are kids supposed to be ready for the world when this school lies to them? I would recommend to anyone who is considering sending there children to this school, not to do it. I wold rather send my children to a public school. |

This school teaches students to reason and to view everything through a biblical mindset. Those who are unfamiliar with preventative and correctional discipline find it hard to understand the mission of Dublin Christian Academy. This school has an amazing rate of college-bound seniors, including several Service Academy acceptances in the past 6 years. |
| 6/13/2006 | student | This school is a great christian school that teaches students well in their classes. I am a dorm student and i hear so many complaints about the food and the dorm living. There are leaks in the girls closets, and in the hallways. The heating system does not work in their lounges and even in the rooms. The school has a lovely view of Mt. Monadnock, and the setting of the property is nice, but it needs so much rennovation, but they just don't have the hands to do it. It makes it hard on the dorm students to live there with so many things that need to get fixed but no one to tell that will actually get it done. |

My child has come to me in complaint that their might be a new rule regarding Abercrombie clothing next year. The principal has good leadership. Some students are looked down upon because of their parents, and unexceptably degraded because of their past. The students are limited to what they do by the teachers opinion. In conclusion, Dublin Christian Academy does not get the students ready for the real world. |

If you're looking for a school where your child will be thoroughly educated and in an atmosphere that is conducive to spiritual growth, this is the place for them. Wonderful, loving, sacrificial teachers pour their heart and life into their 'children.' It is very much like a family atmosphere at the school. Several students have been accepted into West Point upon graduation so the education is second to none. Education is not the only thing that they excel in however. They have a drama team and a choir and ensemble that travel and represent the school in various churches throughout greater New England. The main emphasis is to help a student grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Many of this schools graduates are serving the Lord today in full-time ministry because of the ministry of Dublin Christian Academy. Top recommendation by this parent. |

The academic program has a rigid ideological foundation and is learned through the memorization of rote facts. If you're looking to have your kid indoctrinated in the fundaments of the Southern Baptist denomination, this is the school for you. If you're looking to have your kid educated and taught how to think, send him/her elsewhere. |
| 10/30/2004 | parent | Dublin Christian Academy(DCA) is a fundamentalist, old fashioned school in a beautiful location overlooking Mount Monadnock. The director is very experienced and sensible- one of the best people to work with students. Art, drama, public speaking and music programs are the best in the state. No rock and roll or country music are allowed. Very thorough education. School building needs updating but has a computer lab. Sports facilities are also needed as school uses facilities of surrounding towns. Great value. |
