| 10/25/2007 | parent | The best school in the township!!! |
| 9/20/2006 | parent | This is my daughter's 2nd year at Gables school. We considered private/Christian school but decided to give public school a try first. She's doing very well and is in the Launch program. Her teachers so far have been excellent, the new principal is motivated & doing a good job. I am not happy with the test scores or parent participation. The school seems safe and so far no major concerns. |
| 4/6/2005 | parent | I have two children in this school. The teachers are wonderfull. The children do run wild, but that is a result of insufficent parenting and cannot be blamed on the school. Charity begins at home.....overall, the children who have home training, do pay attention and behave well enough do benefit from the curriculum and teaching . |
| 1/23/2005 | parent | Parent involvement is basically non-existent in this school. Some of the teachers are excellent, however, many are overly concerned about state testing instead of teaching children at a normal pace and level. |
| 1/4/2005 | parent | My sons 2nd grade teacher was absolutely wonderful. The children in this school run wild, and out of control. Unless a child is gifted, this school will do nothing for them. The curriculmn was horrible, with many outdated teaching techniques. Parental involvement is non existent as are extracurricular activities. I tried to give the public school a chance, and they got their chance, and threw it out the window. My son will now attend private school. |
| 7/23/2004 | parent | I am very pleased with my daughter's progress in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. All of her teachers have been great; very nurturing and caring. They kept the parents informed and involved. In our principal's first year at the school, she has made Gables feel more like a family. Although parental involvement is lacking for school events, in individual classes there appears to be some participation by parents. I feel very comfortable knowing that my daughter will be safe at Gables School, during school hours and in the after-care program. Although we considered private school for our daughter, we could not be happier with her progress in the LAUNCH (accelerated)Program. |
