| 7/6/2012 | parent | This has been a great school, and an excellent exerience for my 8 year old son. He started Matthew Jago in kindergarten, and has just completed 2nd grade. His time at this school has been wonderful. The curriculum is certainly up to par with the top schools in the state. The teachers are passionate, caring and very much involved in the children's lives, both in and out of school. The parents are very active in school functions and activities, and have been almost like a second family to me and my son. Also, my son made a lot of great friends in the past few years at this school. I would highly recommend this school to any parent looking to give their child an excellent education and school experience. |
| 10/19/2009 | parent | The school is above average, with caring teachers for the most part, and especially good for children withh disabilities. However, as for most schools in the 'no child left behind' program, more needs to be done for children with above average abilities. Let's not leave them behind, either. |
| 10/10/2009 | parent | My children go to PACE every year there. Very caring people |
| 10/10/2009 | parent | This school meets the needs of typically developing children as well as those with autism, adhd, epilepsy and other disabilities. The children learn to care about everyone they encounter at a tender age and that helps build their character as they grow into young adults and beyond. This school has a wonderful staff and is lead by a dedicated Principal who fosters a positive environment for all to learn to the best of their abilities. |
| 10/9/2009 | parent | I had twin boys that went to Matthew Jago and I feel that they had a great school experience. Mr Patton is one of the most caring principals I have ever had dealings with He puts the children of his school first. |
| 12/16/2007 | parent | Amazing school, my child went there K-5....great! |
| 3/28/2007 | parent | I think Matthew Jago is a great school. I am very happy with the dedication of the teaching staff and their care and concern for each child, however, I feel that as a working parent we and the students would greatly benefit if an after school program was provided to assist the working parents needs. I do not at all like the fact that my daughter must get on a bus to arrive at another school for the benefit of the after school program. Also the fact that kindergarten is a half day session needs to be changed. |
| 9/18/2006 | parent | I think Matthew Jago is a great school, however, I feel that as parents we should be notified a lot more of our childs behavior and/or status more often rather then just waiting for report card time. there are a lot of things I was not aware of until then which is disappointing. It would also be great for working parents if Matthew Jago could provide an afterschool program just as other schools do. I also have issues with the lunch menu not being accurate on the website and healthier for our kids. This is my childs 2nd year there and I am hoping for a better one. |
| 8/21/2005 | parent | I am the parent of a special-needs child who attends Matthew Jago, and I am very happy with the individual attention and quality of instruction in his class. His teachers, aides and therapists are always very warm, open and encouraging regarding my child's progress. |
