Thoreau, NM is a small rural community located in the southwestern area of the state. Despite its size, the town has access to some quality educational options. The schools in Thoreau are all relatively small with just over 300 students enrolled across the three primary schools. Although most of these schools don't have a high rating, they provide a safe and supportive environment for their students as well as a comprehensive curriculum that prepares them for higher education.
