10/12/2012studentThe school offers challenging classes with excellent teachers. They have a strong art and music program and offer a wide variety of sports and extra-curricular activities. Bullying is close to non-existant and the administration is doing a lot to make a positive environment.
3/2/2012studentI graduated from Onteora and went on to major in engineering at a top-ranked university. I found, in college, that I was seriously behind other students academically because Onteora's curriculum was not rigorous enough. I think for a small country high school, they try hard, but this school simply can't compete with better national high schools. I ended up graduating from that great college but it was not without significant effort on my part to catch up to what my secondary education did not provide.
11/14/2011studentI believe this school does about the best it can, we have some ad teachers, but we have some great ones. We have good art and music programs, among other things and bullying truly isn't a huge problem.
11/16/2009parentThis school needs to stop the bullying and enforce it's rules better. To many students get away with too much.
4/22/2008otherThis school needs better discipline. The kids get away with way too much there.
11/10/2007teacherThe school is ok but doesn't have enough school activities to help the kids feel a sense togetherness of belonging...
11/29/2004studentI feel this school needs more teachers and a bigger building. There isnt enough there for the students. some other schools have amaizing art and keyboarding programs yet, Onteora doesnt have those for the students. they need a bigger variety. this will also help them get into a better college if they have elective skills.
