They both received scholarships and they are currently attending one of the best colleges in the country. I highly recommend the school and the entire district. |
| 1/2/2011 | other | I am an alum and i had horrible experiences. I was often the victim of pure bigotry from students, teachers and even parents. In one case i was accused of ethnically harassing a student but they easily looked over her harassment of me. In another case a student made a blatantly false complaint about me that was only proven false by the fact that i gave the school and the local police my Metrocard to i had used when this supposedly occurred and i showed i was in Manhattan while the incident supposedly occurred in school grounds (albeit during a non-school day but a a school sanctioned event). Thankfully that saved me. Others even tried to get my community service amount reduced since i was not doing the volunteering they preferred |

The elementary schools have vey small classes, usually less than 20 kids to a class. The middle school and High School offer lots of academic and athletic opportunities. The music program is one of the best on Long Island. Graduates from the High School go to many of the best Universities in the country. The parents in the district are very involved. The treachers and administration are very approachable. We moved here primarily for the school district. We heard it gave kids a chance at a top notch education without the pressure cooker atmosphere of some of the nearby school districts and that turned out to be very true. |
