6/14/2011otherThe Convent of the Sacred Heart is hands down an amazing school. I have attended Sacred Heart since the age of five and enjoyed every minute of it. Although rumors spread about the school being a place where bullying is present against people who do not have much money, that is entirely false (from previous post). I am on scholarship, and everyone knows, and they do not care. I will not deny that there is obviously the petty bullying of a second grader or a seventh grader once in a while, I have been a victim of it. However, it is the same as any other school your child my attend, and Sacred Heart truly helped me address the situation, and handle it in a proper manner. What Sacred Heart students truly care about is my values, my beliefs, and my intellect. Any daughter would be lucky to attend Sacred Heart, and the education that your daughter will receive is guaranteed to be superb. I have become truly a better person since attending Sacred Heart.
3/12/2011otheri hate this school. I left this school last year. The academics are far superior at my new school. The athletic program is not good either at Sacred Heart. It is not worth the money, it is very expensive and not worth it. There is a lot of bullying in middle school, and high school. The head of the middle school is not very good at her job, and you can tell that the teachers are miserable, along with the students. I didn't enjoy the school at all. I dont wear very expensive clothes and i was therefore bullied. The education, athletics, and social atmosphere is not worth the tuition. It was not challenging, there were no strong leaders either.
2/22/2011parentI love this school! My daughter loves how everyone is so kind to each other. this is a great school
7/7/2010 Sacred heart has very strong focus on balanced academic, personal and physical development in a nurturing environment
4/29/2009otherCSH is the most prestigious, well-rounded girls school in the city. It teaches girls how to be good at whatever they want to do. Most importantly, it teaches them to be good people, unlike other all-girls schools such as Nightingale, Chapin, Spence, and Brearly. Being that it is a very difficult school to get into, the girls who attend are intelligent, kind, generous, loving people who are very welcoming, something else you don't find at other girls schools. The teachers are well-educated and are there to help their students. The facilities are breath-taking. If you would like your daughter not only to be intelligent, but a good person with good values all around, CSH is the right school for her. It's guaranteed that your daughter won't find another school as excellent in every way as CSH. Girls are on a much higher level academically and spiritually than girls from other schools.
3/18/2009studentI love Sacred Heart! It is the best school in the whole wide world! I love it, and I definately would give it 1 million stars!
1/31/2008otherI graduated from there and I would definitely say thatan overwhelming majority of the experienced by my fellow alumin were wonderful. The school has helped to shape many leaders in our world and at the student level it is not as easy to sree why certain decisions are made. However, I must reiterate the fantastic experience I had and the pride that I have in being part of the larger Sacred Heart network. Currently I am working on my Master's in Urban Planning and I am an analyst with the Department of education in new york City and I run my own business.
1/30/2008parentI totally disagree with the person who left the prior comments. Sacred Heart is a wonderful school. My daughter could not have gotten a better education anywhere else. The school is physically beautiful, as well, and an excellent learning environment. The academics are challenging and the quality of teaching is very high.
9/14/2007studentin my experience of sacred heart i haven't enjoyed one bit. the teachers do not care what you do! the education is horrible in 6th grade i did 4 th grade math! i don't no how people like this school.. the tution is massive and the sports is horrible.
3/5/2007parentThis is by far the best Catholic private girls school in NYC. Sacred Heart truly teaches the girls to be well-rounded, while instilling moral values and the highest standard of academics.
10/25/2006parentSacread Heart is a wonderful school. My daughter is growing tremendously both academically and spiritually. The school environment is very nurturing, the parent body lovely, and the quality of the teachers, staff and resources superb.
6/2/2006parentTerrific school. Teachers and administration are nuturing and deeply involved. Strong academics.Parents are heavily involved.
5/29/2006studentoverall, my experience was wonderful but pointless rules enforced by the administrations sometimes stifled students' creativity, ability to help the community, and happiness.
3/7/2006former studentExcellent catholic education. Emphasis on community service, academics, citizenship, and religion.
3/5/2006parentThe school so far has been incredible. The have the same curriculm as the other elite private schools in New York with the addition of teaching to the heart and soul of each child. Any of the activities that one wishes are available, as they should be at a school charging this much in tuition. One other factor in chosing this school is their presevation of innocence longer than the other schools, and the strong sense of community.
9/5/2005parentOur daughter has thrived at CSH. The curriculum truly educates the whole child--mentally, spiritually and physically. We have seen our daughter's confidence soar because of the attention of the devoted staff and through the wonderful friendships that she has made. Our daughter is in the lower school and the curriculum has been perfectly age-appropriate; in Kindergarten the curriculum moves slowly, which was a perfect transition for our daughter to academic-based learninTheriety of our daughter's day--moving from drama to language to religion classes--every day packs in exciting opportunities to learn. The parents are dedicated yet friendly and 'down-to-earth'. The parent's association is an impressive organization, organizing everything from traditional fund-raisers to projects that truly help out the community and the world at large.
1/13/2005studentPersonally having gone here, this school was fantastically well rounded for me. The all girl experience was something my classmates and me loved and maybe took for granted. The grade grows close, allowing new kids to even become part of this united group of girls helping eachother in any way. The fact that this school has a network is very interesting even offering the chance to study in the numerous Sacred Heart schools across the globe.
6/8/2004parentAs a parent your desire is to have a child who fulfills his/her potential intellectual abilities in the best educational environment posible. Well, Convent of the Sacred Heart - NY has been for my daughter the school which is providing her instructional tools to face her future.
9/9/2003parentExcellent faculty and staff. Academics are superb.
