| 10/28/2012 | parent | Thanks 4 removing my comment from June 2012, when I believed and trusted my child 2 your school. How fast things change!!!!! |
| 5/23/2012 | parent | This is one of the best schools everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....... The staff, the teachers and most of all the PRINCIPAL, are a big part of this movement that is happening at apex. Im sorry "THE NEW APEX ACADEMY' The movement is excellence in academics. Building foundations of knowledge. And giving students the tools for success. I'M A PROUD PARENT OF THE NEW APEX ACADEMY |
| 3/5/2012 | parent | Apex Academy has come very far in the past two years. Their Ohio Department of Education Performance Index is now a 76.4. They are really growing and excelling their students. They have a new principal and she is very dedicated to student learning and teachers growing professionally. The atmosphere in Apex is completely different. Teachers are constantly learning and growing, students are engaged in learning, the building looks fabulous, they focus on moral focus and an awesome curriculum. Apex is a fine place. |
| 10/6/2009 | parent | Apex started out as a quality charter school, but has slowly deterioated into a school where discipline is a low priority. My grandaughter, in the 8th grade, (she started there at 3rd grade) complains daily about how she is not learning anything because the teachers cannot control the classroom. Some students have not been taught the value of an education and continually disrupt class and disprect the teachers. The teachers appear to be helpless and just try to make it through the day. Over half of the class time is spent disciplining students who have little desire to learn anything. I'm waiting to see if the new principal will make a difference. The behavior problems didn't start with him. The same kind of thing was going on when Mr. Ward was there - old school or not. |
| 9/23/2009 | parent | The old principal is no longer here and that is sad. My daughter is in 2nd grade here and I am looking to send her to another school. The teachers are so standoffish like we're on the streets or something. I don't reccommend unless you're looking for convenience. The curriculum is fine, but if you want to communicate with staff and teachers effectively go somewhere else. |
| 12/18/2008 | student | I Attended this school 6-8 grade and ,when i finally went to high school i was behind. The dean of students Mr.Kubiak who is no longer there was excellent and ws actually there for students . |
| 7/19/2008 | parent | I have to disagree. My son was going to a catholic school, and I removed him from that school because he was not learning anything, so I put him in Apex Academy, and my son's grades were excellent. He was introduced to things at Apex Academy that the catholic school was not even close to introducing him to. I like the principal, because he is old school. I enjoy the fact that they stand out in freezing cold weather to make sure that each child is in the classroom safely, and they even open car doors for the student. So I have nothing but good things to say about Apex Academy. They also have a excellent curriculum. |
| 7/27/2007 | parent | This school is not a very good school to send your child to. Especially the 6-7th grades. The no tolerance policy should go for the teachers as well as the students if you are going to enforce it. You have a Dean of 6-7th grade that nows nothing about nothing on how to disipline students. It is just not a good school to attend. |
