| 4/21/2012 | other | I graduated from Mayfield HS in 2007. I enjoyed my time at Mayfield. Every employee at MHS, whether teachers, counselors, or administration, is devoted to the students. This school can be a little clique -y, as a previous post described, but it is a high school. There's lots of extracurricular activities and tons of school pride. |
| 9/16/2009 | parent | got an A+ education and all went on to college! |
| 4/20/2009 | parent | As a parent of 2 Mayfield students I'm really proud to call Mayfield our School, the teachers, the parents involvedment in the school and all the extra curriculum activity made this School the BEST in NE OHIO. |
| 3/29/2009 | other | As a graduate of Mayfield High School, I can attest to the great academics, strong curriculum, and devoted staff. The student body is extremely motivated and positive, and it is easy to get involved. I currently attend a prestigious research university, and Mayfield truly prepared me for this experience. |
| 3/24/2009 | teacher | I work at Mayfield High School. I have to say that strong majority of the students are awesome (even most of the so called 'problem' students, they just want to be treated with respect and given attention). We have very little behavior issues compared with the schools around us. As far as the racism comment early, I couldn't disagree more. I am very impressed with how the majority of the students interact with each other. |
| 3/20/2009 | student | I currently attend and it is an amazing school. The teachers are so helpful and really strive for the studnts to succeed. |
| 2/23/2009 | other | I was raised and educated in the Mayfield School systems. For a public school, the staff and administration should receive medals for what they do. The boosters and alumni associations are active in their support of the schools and I would not have wanted to be in any other system. As a graduate, I can say I'm still proud to be a Mayfield Wildcat. |
| 5/25/2007 | former student | I am a graduate and I feel that Mayfield schools are not as great as everyone thinks. I feel acedemically it is not a strong high school. Kids that have a hard time with certain subjects are just overlooked. Schools should be rated from post graduates. |
| 2/26/2007 | parent | Having 2 students that have attended Mayfield - I can not think of a better High School in NE Ohio. Their Math and Science programs are far above that of surrounding public and private schools. Keep up the great work! |
| 7/23/2006 | student | i am going to be a junior at Mayfield. they have an excelent LD program. the teachers truely care and are willing to help any way possible. becoming more diverse each year. Strong in math. 2 hours of homework most nights. only bad thing is hardly no snow days. |
| 4/26/2006 | former student | Time I went here it was a great school academically. |
| 4/15/2006 | parent | all i can say is that mayfield is a pretty nice school when you look at schools like brush and shaker mayfield is far above them with more activities and more involvement, also spectacular teachers |
| 12/8/2004 | former student | I am not a parent, I am a graduated student from Mayfield. Mayfield has great programs and generraly great teachers, but if your child attends, make sure they are not feeling pressured or stressed: grades are great because students pressure themselves. And remember, extra curriculars are great, but you CAN have too much of a good thing. Also, 'cliques' are strong...make sure your child is confident in themselves! |
| 7/15/2004 | parent | My daughter went to Mayfield Heights schools for two years (7th and 8th grades)and I found the curriculum and teachers to be great. However, the school is not too diverse and racism is an issue. |
| 4/9/2004 | parent | This is one of the best schools in North East, Ohio. Great teachers, students and excellent curriculam. Sports are excellent at Mayfield. Grades are awesome. Every test averages around a 90% which is an A. Great job Mayfield. Keep up the good work. did I mention they are divison 1? |
