| 10/6/2012 | parent | I attended this school and so did my children. Now my grandchildren are students there. I am surprised at the huge changes they have made both academically and socially. The new principle falls short in many areas. She is very arrogant and not at all compassionate. The way she talks to the kids and ignores parents concerns is not a good thing for the school. The teachers seem to be very good and deeply concerned with the children being the best they can be. The are excellent with interacting with the parents. I also was surprised that the district has done away with what most kids looked forward to and that was the little parties with home baked goodies. Sometimes these little treats and fun things are BIG to those children who don't have much at home. |

| 9/2/2008 | parent | I love the School and wouldn't have any other wat! |
| 7/27/2005 | parent | I think this is a great school. Great learning atmosphere, and teachers really care about the students. |
| 4/18/2005 | parent | West Mound Elementary has room for improvement. There are limited extracurricular activities at sporatic intervals. The school lacks consistancey in these activities, as well as in classroom discipline. Intelligent children are not often challenged, nor are they encouraged to strive for their full potential. This is a school designed for the average. On the bright side, the principal is excellent. She is trying to better her school. Unfortunately, change and challenge is often met with resistance from those satisfied with the status quo, and from those who call for change yet are unwilling to experience the sacrifices involved. |
