| 8/30/2007 | parent | Very little information is provided to parents. I am very disappointed. I have emailed the principal and Superintendant and neither has taken the time to respond. |
| 9/12/2006 | parent | My son has attended Wooster Heights Elementary. I find that most of the teachers are very caring and willing to go the extra mile. I have been pleased with activities provided there. I don't see a high level of parent involvemnet. There are a few parents that volunteer often. I have not attended parent's club often due to my schedule. I didn't feel very welcome the few times I have been there. |
| 1/17/2005 | parent | My 3 children attended Madison Schools their whole school career. All 3 received a great education and for the most part, had caring teachers. There are going to be teachers in every district who don't really seem to care - that's part of all aspects of life. Right now Madison is going through a tough time because there isn't enough funding - from Ohio or from the residents of the district. We're certainly not alone with that problem. Children walking to school isn't a wonderful solution but are the people complaining supporting the district when it come to voting time? I would love to hear from positive people about our school district. Why is it that only the complainers voice their opinions? My children have all been in college and done well - fueled by their education at Madison. Let's be fair! |
| 8/23/2004 | parent | I completely agree with the notion that the school personnel seem to be stumped when it comes to children that need a challenge. I am a parent of children with above average intelligence, and from my experiance, having above average intelligence is a handicap in the eyes of the teachers here. It always seems to be met with criticism and even fear. And now, if thats not bad enough, they expect my children to walk to school on an extremely busy street, for at least a mile. |
| 4/30/2004 | parent | I moved into Wooster Heights area in order for my child to attend a smaller school. What a disappointment. The principal and the teachers this year have been quite negative at times and hard to talk to. My childs teacher seems to not know how to deal with a child that is bored with the normal lesson plans and requires more challenging tasks. My child also receives very little postive praise. Did I mention this is kindergarten? The time when a love of learning and school should be instilled into the children? Not my idea of how to start an academic career. He doesn't care for school and has learned to push his teachers buttons to receive the only type of attention he is used to getting from her, negative. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a better year, next school year! |
