| 3/1/2012 | parent | We found Willo-Hill through the internet. Almost four yeaars later, we can say that we have been very satisfied with the leadership and staff at Willo-Hill. Our children love to go to school and they are learning so much. I am amazed at their reading levels. Most importantly, they are learning to love and follow Jesus. Friends who were visiting, recently, were impressed with the level of depth in our conversations about spiritual things. We are so thankful for Willo-Hill. |
| 1/12/2010 | parent | I went to Willo Hill for High school back when there was one. I loved it there then so when it came time to pick a school for my kids I was so glad when we moved back to the area and sent them there. My kids were having a hard time and hated school. Now they love it and are excited to go. I can't believe how much they are learning. My younger ones can't wait to go to school as they see the fun they are having. They are right on track with their cousins at public school and still learn about God not just from us and family but now from their friends and teachers. Two weeks ago my 7 yr old daughter asked to get saved and baptized. I am so excited. She was excited to share with her class too! |
| 11/4/2009 | parent | Reviews are not the way to make a decision regarding your child's education. When all is said and done the decision you make should be one lead by God through prayer. Willo-Hill is a great school. I have sent 3 children through their doors and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. There were times when I didn't like certain things (and there will be no matter where you go), but I always trusted God and new that WHCS was where He wanted my children. There are no perfect schools. There are no perfect teachers/ administrators. There are no perfect parents/ students. But there is one perfect God who will not mis-lead you. I am cautious when I read negative comments. Those who are unhappy and cannot leave graciously (without negative comments) show poor character. |
| 7/29/2009 | parent | Great School! New Principal Sperry is Fabulous. The students & families love her. Teachers are Super, Most little ones are reading by half way thru kindergarten. Very open door policy, lots of interaction with families. All 5 of my children have gone here. It is a Great elementary school. Your precious little ones are not exposed to the behaviors of highschool students. They also are not exposed to teenage drivers in parking lots that they may be walking in. Some things to consider when you explore schools that are K-12. Consistant policies. Many after school clubs to engage all students. Ski club, Karate, Equestrian,Cooking, Swim. All students are given an opportunity to participate in team sports. They do not cut players, then ask home schooled students to play. Very Intentially Christian! |
| 7/29/2009 | student | This school was the best school I have ever gone to they have good leadership and if you guys have anything to say be nice about it. |
| 7/22/2009 | parent | Excellent School! I would highly recommend this school for students who want a superior education and for parents that can disregard former parents that bad mouth this excellent education institution. Some former parents are just cronic complainers who instigate problems where ever they go. |
| 7/21/2009 | parent | I would not recommend this school to anyone. The board and church is something to avoid. As a parent I would find a strong alternative in another school. |
| 7/1/2009 | parent | A very clicky run school and has gone down hill. Not a very christian school anymore. |
| 11/28/2008 | parent | This school's quality has gone away since principal Griffey and administrator Williams left in 2003 . They have no leadership from the executive staff or inexperienced board, and the legalistic approach by the board and church is something to avoid! Find a strong alternative at Parma Heights. |
| 4/28/2008 | parent | My daughter has attended Willo Hill since Kindergarten and we can honestly say that we are more pleased with the quality of education and the overall atmosphere of the school each year she attends. The teachers are wonderful and the parent involvement excellent. I would enthusiastically recommend this school to anyone who has the desire to see their child in a loving and caring enviroment that offers first rate instruction. |
| 2/21/2007 | parent | This is a wonderful school! The teachers and principal are devoted and committed to the children's growth academically, spiritually, and emotionally. The teachers know how to challenge my son who is performing at a higher level than the average, particularly in math, spelling, and reading. He loves school! The atmosphere is friendly (a family) and Christ-centered. My son is receiving the best education in the area. Most of all, he is growing in character. I recommend this school to anyone! |
| 10/12/2006 | parent | WHCS is a great school that embraces parents & assists them in raising their children according to God's command. 'Train up a child in the way he should go...' The welcoming staff encourages a feel of community lacking in other school's todays. We couldn't be happier with our choice. We have a teenager who went K-6 at WHCS and a 4th grader. Our oldest is impacting the world for Christ and is firm in the foundational truths she received at WHCS. Our youngest is enjoying the experience as well. The best investment we could ever make. |
| 10/10/2006 | parent | Willo-Hill Christian has only improved. They now offer Spanish to all grades as well as soccer and basketball to boys and girls. They have an excellent music program including a choir which you have to try out to get into. They now start at K4 and have a waiting list. The math course has been changed this year and my child is easily excelling now. You can't beat the excellent Bible curriculum and the secure yet parent friendly atmosphere. There are 2 male teachers on staff as well as a fathers/grandfathers group which makes themselves present on campus by helping with recess and extra activities. There is a parent group which heavily helps the school because we care about our kids! Excellent atmosphere, solid education. |
| 12/26/2005 | parent | Excellent Christian environment. Small classrooms, excellent teachers, high level of parent involvement. Highly recommended. |
| 4/28/2005 | parent | This school is fine until 4th grade. Their math program is awful. My daughter has attended this school since kindergarten and I feel she is very behind compared to the public school system. They have no foreign language department and also they group all children in the same catagory as being 'A' students. They do not have the ability to put children into classrooms if they are struggling in math or language which does not benefit the child that is struggling. They need a math teacher when the child hits 5th and 6th grade and I don't even think the teachers even know how to teach their math program or language program. Sports is very limited, music department is great. They also do not have any male influence which the boys very much need. I wouldn't recommend this school to anybody. |
| 3/14/2005 | parent | Willo Hill Christian School is a great school. My son started this school 4 years ago and we love everything about it! The parent involvement level is very high as well as compassionate caring from the staff. The Christian based cirriculum is highly regarded not only in the studies as well as through the discipline of the students. The school is very consistant with its' policies. Very clear-cut. We love this school and would highly recommend it to any family that wants a Christian based education for their children. Even though the school has recently implemented a top-notch Computer course for the older grades a downfall is that they offer no foreign language classes as well as the sports activities are very limited. |
