My daughter has attended OCS for 3 years and is already dealing with kids 8 and 9 years old, that are materialistic and mean. We have decided to leave OCS, because we do not want our child raises with materialistic values. I know that we will see some of this in public schools, but by no means will it be the quantity that it is at OCS. The sad part is that these apples do not fall far from the trees, so what CHRISTIAN values are being taught in these homes, if 8 and 9 year olds are already materialistic and hurtful to those who are not as blessed!!!!! The sad fact is that it is not only the children that are this way, there are many parents that have these same values! |

The people and students at this school are amazing and genuine. The classes are around 60 students or so and it is like a big family, everyone knows each other and everyone is extremely nice. You have a diverse group of people at the school now especially because of the foreign exchange program initiated this year. The sports programs are great and the arts programs are also well supported and respected, especially the theatre department. I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone. The tuition is reasonable, compared to other schools, and the school is now just starting to scratch the full potential it will be someday. |

Although there are alot of families that are very wealthy, there are also alot of families that sacrifice so their children can have a Christian education. OCS is not perfect. Neither is any other school. I am thankful for the Godly friends that my daughter has made at OCS. The way I see it is if your child is drawn to kids that walk on the edge - they will be drawn to those kids whether they are in a private or public school. I think the need to fit in exists at every school just like it did when I was in high school 25 years ago. |

You have to have the latest iPods, the latest clothes, the latest purses, and it seems to me that everything must be designer... Maybe I'm a little bit biased because I have been forced to go there my whole life, but I think public school gives you the same quiality education (other than Bible classes) but without the stress of trying to fit in constantly. The school has very little diversity in money, race, and just people in general. I will not deny that the school has some WONDERFUL aspects to it, but there are also some that cannot be over looked. I would check out this school just to see if its right for you. |

It is definitly not worth the money, I attended OCS in high school and was sadly dissapointed by not only the students but also the faculty's double standards and materialism. I have many horror stories to support my opinions. |
