6/13/2012parent While the campus upgrade has made major improvements to the outside of the school. If you take a deeper look, you will see that Casady has been happy to rest on its reputaion of being "the best school in the state" for to long. Its rigorous academic requirements have been reduced year after year. Now many public schools offer more challenging courses than what is offered at Casady(which is a college prep school). The athletic programs are laughable. When asked about the sub-par athletics the answer is always the same, we are an academic school. But Casady consistently scores lower on the standardized tests (ERB) than the other schools in the conference. The parents and students are very cliquish and its hard for a student or athelte to recieve any kind of recoginiton if they are not part of the tight-knit group of alumi and thier children. Casady has the potential and means to be one of the best schools in the region. But only when they start considering all the students and not just a few select ones. Consider this school carefully, on the values where it is now and not what it once was.
4/9/2012parentBogus school. Rude teachers. This is for primary divison. Donot understand basics of childrens. Go to heritage hall or public schoo. They donot understand this. They are all orthodox teacheres with no sense. As a parent never send you kids here.
1/10/2012parentMy family was involved with this school and I can say from experience that this school was below average. Of course, every school has its pros and cons including this one; this school has been downhill for a while. This school is in fact an Episcopal school and it's the most expensive, but it doesn't mean it's the "best" (everyone like me has their own opinion.). It used to be that to graduate you had to take Latin; not anymore! Of course, they do have chapel and they pray but in the whole environment it's not really Christ-centered. They really expect a lot out of the students to make sure they go onto college (hence this school being college-prep), which is good but sometimes it can be stressful. If this school sounds like it's for you go ahead; if it's not then keep looking.
4/11/2011parentThis school has a great athletic program. My child gets alot of homework but that is good for their learning.
2/14/2011otherThe single greatest thing that my parents did for me was to send me to Casady. I spent nine years there, graduating in 1975. I had to attend summer school for english after 3rd grade to be able to start 4th grade in the fall. My math skills were lacking as well, as I was soon to discover. 4th graders are expected to be able to blaze through basic multiplication tables. A couple of weeks with my parents and a pack of flash cards had me up to speed. After graduation I went to public colleges and can tell you that I learned much more while attending Casady than I ever did in college. There is much homework, more than I had in college, but I believe that it prepares you for college and work in the real world. Academics is the number one concern at Casady, if you can't cut it you can't buy your way in. I believe that they have the highest per capita number of National Merit finalists of any school in the state.
10/17/2010parentCasady provides a well rounded education that focuses on the entire child, scholastic, athletic, environment & community. We couldn't have imagined how our daughter would love this school, her classmates and teachers! We highly recommend Casady to parents wanting a well rounded committed preparatory Pre-K - 12 school!
4/27/2010parentMy kids are thriving here. It is the best education that Oklahoma City has to offer.
4/22/2010parentIt is school that prepares students for the challenges of life. Students learn that you have to work to succeed. They have the most dedicated teachers I have ever seen.
11/4/2009parentCasady teaches its students to be caring citizens who are prepared for college and life beyond.
11/4/2009teacherCasady has the brightest students and the best teachers on the most beautiful campus!
9/2/2009parentI am pleased with the extraordinary education my son is receiving at Casady. Teachers teach to the top of each student so no one has it easy. We have made huge sacrifices to give our son the best education we can and we have not regretted sending him to Casady. Though our son is not usually quick volunteer information about his day, he often comes home with interesting insights he picked up in chapel. Chapel was not initially a factor for us however it seems to be getting our son to be intentional about how he treats people. We have no religious affiliation in our household but we appreciate what is taught in chapel. Great school and great teachers producing great results in our family.
8/26/2009studentThis school is the best school in Oklahoma City! I went to Heritage Hall for 6 years and I never seemed to 'fit in!' Casady is a school where you can send your children and know that they are getting a great education while feeling accepted for who they are! The academics at Casady are challenging but in the end, rewarding. The teachers are always willing to help you whenever you need it. The Middle Division has many after school clubs like Math Counts, Chess Club, Environmental Club, a Girls Club that teaches girls how to get along with each other and many other clubs. I would definitely recommend Casady School to any family wanting the best school Oklahoma City has to offer!
5/5/2009parentOfcourse it is a private school, so the amount of money you pay has to be justified by teachers. Too much home work, keeps your child busy all the evening. Not much credits achieved for college here, but maybe our child will be somewhat better prepared for college. The syllabus taught is about 4 years older than the public schools. Your child will be taught with his/her same grade levels, they can't go to a higher level as in public school.
10/31/2008parentI am so glad my children are at Casady. While here, they have learned to love learning. That's a lifelong skill. The teachers know each of them individually and have helped them progress by identifying their specific needs. Can't say enough about Casady!
9/4/2007parentIncredible school. Kids have many challenges and some cant meet the expectations. So be prepared for a mini college experience. You will pay decent money but it is well worth it.
8/4/2007parentCasady feels like ireland. And the teachers have too high of expectations for us. It feels like we're in another world. I wouldn't reccomend sending your child there.
2/21/2007parentI love the school and the teachers. I would drive from anywhere in Oklahoma to get my daughter there. My husband is an alum; and we have a few more kids to send. Compared to our friends children she is much further ahead of the academic game.
8/23/2006studentCasady school is, in my opinion, the best school in Oklahoma. I have grown tremendously while attending Casady. The athletic program is high quality and the teachers are very supportive of the children in every aspect. Casady is very good at preparing children for college.
1/19/2006parentCasady School is the best academic choice in Oklahoma City. Strong in academics and athletics, it is also a very friendly, family-oriented school. Accross the lower, middle, and upper schools, the kids know and support each other. The teachers are caring and very involved. The high school does an excellent job preparing the students for college. Actually, it is a process that begins in the lower school. Each year the students build on their academic abilities to research, write, and edit their own papers. By the time they graduate they will have written at least 2 papers per year and 1-3 20-page papers, depending on their classes.
1/9/2006parentTerrific academic programs, particularly languages. Our experience there with our two children was wonderful, and helped them learn a new language in record time.
1/27/2004parentThe teachers and staff in the Lower Division of Casady school are wonderful. The quality of education provided by this school and it's caring staff is unimaginable. If you want your child to be well educated and intellectually challenged send them to Casady school.
