| 12/7/2009 | parent | Coquille Valley Middle school is an opportunity of a lifetime for all kids coming from the valley. The highly educated teachers care about the kids and think highly about the test scores they will help to achieve. I know of home-schooled kids that are attending CVMS just because of the quality of education their child will receive. |
| 4/28/2009 | parent | CVMS teachers are awesome, we came from Bandon school district and Coquille is head and shoulders above them. The communication I have with the teachers is as immediate as you could hope for. I can email them in the morning and they will email back during thier lunchtime! My only negative comment is that Oregon needs to fund rural schools better than they are and that it is a tragedy that these teachers that are so good have so little to work with. The kids seem to be loving it regardless but, I wish we could give them more. |
| 9/12/2007 | parent | CVS is a great school. The teachers do understand kids and take an interest in their lives. Our community is burdened by poverty, drug use, etc., but the kids are resilient. They are happy at CVS. |
| 5/21/2003 | | I feel as a parent who has a child in this school they have failed to establish an open communication with the parents, I also feel that they think that because my child attends this school that they know my child better than I do, that is big mistake. They are not used to having parents this School Year be as involved with their kids , I don`t think they know how to handle themselves. I think the Principal and the Vice Principal need to have better communication skills with the parents and with themselves. They have both failed me and other parents. But I hope that from now on we can learn from this year and make it a better one for next year. Sincerely, Rosemary Revelle |
