| 5/30/2011 | parent | teachers are available to talk, easy to see student progress through electronic access. Teachers continually post what is going on in their classroom on their websites. Friendly office staff, discipline is an ongoing clean-up process, great parent club. |
| 4/5/2011 | other | The schools not perfect. I go to this school. I can tell you thought that all these crazy stories are all fake. there have been 8 or 9 kids in the 8th grade that have been removed.( for the number of kids in this age bracket the % of drug problem kids is the same compared to pioneer, and it has more indebted social groups) The 6th and 7th grade are clean thought, there from the other side of town, there fairly wimpy and immature. The problem children have been removed. Its a little ruff, but it helps prepare students for high school, more so then any of the other locale schools, which have you bunched in with the younger grades(pre-8),and for these students, not getting babied at high school will be a sudden punch in the face( leading to slacking, drug, and dropping out). So that the 101 on the best place in town for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. |
| 1/3/2011 | parent | A friend of mine has a son who goes here, and is being bullied. The other day he (@11) was jumped by 20+ other students. He immediately called his mom, who showed up about 5 minutes later, and the principle's first words? "Your son is in trouble for using his cell phone at school." Really? Kid just got jumped on your watch and you want to rag on him using his cell phone to call his mom? If this sort of behavior is common amongst middle school teachers & principles, it's a wonder that Kip Kinkel was the only one. This is unacceptable to me. My children are geographically in this district, and if the principle isn't gone at the end of the year, my oldest will be going elsewhere. |
