| 7/20/2009 | student | I just graduated from Lane Middle School. I had such a great time there. For me, my classes prepared me for middle school alot and I am ready to go through high school. If you might think that I am just a teenager who doesn't know anything, you are but wrong. I was voted Most Likely to Succeed for the entire eigth grade and received several things from there like HOnors and perfect attendance. This school has changed my life. I learned plenty of skills in Academics and leaadership. I was voted for leadership in all my classes. It is a whole lot better. Thanks to a great group of teachers and environment I finished with a perfect 4.0 for all three years. This school this year received 2 prestigious awards and we were visited by Ms. Campillo, superintendant of all Oregonian schools. LANE ROCKS. |
| 1/19/2009 | student | my school is very fun and the teachers give good education . |
| 9/19/2008 | teacher | As a teacher who retired from Lane, I am sad to say that while there were many great teachers that were my colleagues during the many years I was at Lane, the school was plagued by an endless succession of poor administrators who brought with them an endless succession of mindless changes in curriculum and school program design. Teachers and students were never given the opportunity to get fully involved in academic programs before 180 degree changes were instituted. Programs disappeared almost as quickly as they were put in place! I cannot tell you how many times I heard the current VP respond that she did not care when staff members approached her with a concern. It was very hard for me to see the decline of a place where I loved to teach. |
| 6/8/2008 | parent | Lane Middle is more concerned with welfare of the teachers rather than the welfare of the students. The programs offered are not engaging enough to hold the interest nor motivate the students. The VP and the Principal need lessons in communication with both students and parents. |
| 9/5/2007 | parent | This school offers great programs and has a very supportive staff. |
| 1/13/2006 | student | I am sorry to say that for two years i attended this school. I Was an excelling student there but when i was forced to move i found out that i was way behind in the basic studys. While i had a B in math at this school, I had a F by most other schools standards. It dissapoints me that other children are still being enrolled here. |
| 4/20/2005 | teacher | This school is suffering severely from the no child left behind program. All the remaining students and teachers have been left behind, due to mass exodous of students and funding. If you care about the quality of your child's education do not enroll them there. As a temporary art instructor there I can attest to the sad conditions. |
