I have 3 children in this school, they are unique in their academic strenths and weeknesses. They entered in 1st, 3rd and 4th grades. The staff helped my younger child when she had difficulty learning to read she is now in third grade and scores top in reading. My middle child came from a private school in the area and he is receiving much better instruction in writing at Chestnutwold than what was given at the private school. The oldest is now in 6th grade at Haverford middle schoool He spent a year at Coopertown before the redistricting. The principle at Coopertown is not as good as Mr. B . In our experience Chestnutwold is a very welcoming school with a small town atmosphere, the top elementary school in the district. |

The principal and faculty are of the highest quality. They don't just do their job, they CARE about the kids and how they are doing not just intellectually, but emotionally. This will be my last year after 15 years being connected to this 'Gem of a school' as it is known around here, and we will truly miss it. |
