| 7/5/2010 | parent | When I moved from SC to PA due to medical reasons, we decided to move to Newport, because of family. I had head mixed reviews in regard to both the middle and high school, and the leadership in both. I can honestly say, I wasn't expecting THIS level of utter stupidity and incompetence in both the leadership and the so-called "teachers". Among the most notable were the 8th grade Algebra teacher, the 8th grade Science teacher, and the Cyber-school director, who also the librarian. The reason why my child was in a "cyber" class is that he had to retake a class in roughly 14 weeks, starting from day one because they blatantly REFUSED to count the half-credit he earned back in SC. Parents, do yourselves and your children a BIG favor. Give this school a wide berth. |
