| 5/17/2010 | parent | I can't believe how much math my first-grader has learned! I am very impressed! The staff has made me feel welcome when I have gone into the school to read or help with functions. There are many opportunities for working or stay-at-home parents to participate. |
| 4/2/2010 | parent | I agree that the school is not what it used to be. There seems to be a toxic feel to the environment now, resentful, secretive and only the parents who know how to play the game are allowed into the school. Parents who complain or who have suggestions are shut out. The leadership at this school is poor, and it reflects all the way down to the students. |
| 3/30/2010 | parent | No matter what your income, no matter whether you are a stay at home mother or working....Waverly has gone downhill over the past years. We have raised our children here, all of them have gone to Waverly. This school used to be so succesful, with teachers who really cared and worked hand in hand with parents. Yes, they still have some amazing 1st class act teachers, but most have retired. Our youngest is now at Waverly, and it is very sad to see how this small community school has gone downhill. The PTA of today is not what it was 5-10 yrs ago, with parents happily working side by side with teachers during the days, children who were well supervised and well educated. Back when our elder children attended Waverly, we were above and beyond happy, so to were our children. Sadly this is not the case any longer. |
| 3/29/2010 | parent | If you are rich and are a stay at home mom, you will fit in nicely here. If your child has special needs, you shouldn't consider Abington, at all. |
| 5/28/2008 | parent | Small class sizes and in an excellent school district. |
| 5/31/2007 | parent | This is a wonderful school. The parent involvement is amazing this is the most awesome PTA I have ever seen. They have many activities for children starting from kindergarten such as art and music. My children love it here and so do I. The teachers are wonderful and truly love their students. |
