| 1/3/2008 | parent | Having 2 special needs children I find the support of both the school principle and teachers willing to go above and beyond the call of duty for the students. The support for my 'typical ' child is great. I am very glad that we have moved to Mill Creek. |
| 6/6/2007 | parent | I love Mill Creek! My daughter's teachers were very good. They worked well together to make sure the children were meeting or exceeding the standards. The children (including mine) that needed the extra help got it. Mr. Cannon is very visible at the school. He is very open to hearing from parents. Our experience with Mill Creek has been nothing but positive. I highly recommend the school. With the Reading First program the children really have a strong focus on academics. There isn't any sports or other extra-curricular activities. However the PTA this past year hosted many events that encouraged activity outside of the school. The level of parent involvement is very low. In fact it's quite disheartening to see the lack of parents involved. |
| 8/30/2006 | parent | I have come in contact with similar issues concerning this school. I feel that the focus should be more on educating the children and less focus on discipline. When you go to one class the class across the hall are learning something different. So when the 2 or 3 groups come together the children are not on the same level nor do they understand the same things. There is no structure every teacher is doing there own thing and the principal never seems to really be all concerned about our children's education. These children are getting robbed by the school system. These children would learn if it was more challenging for those who needs and want to be challenged. Those that need extra attention then give them that one on one. But to know that in the next 20yrs. These will be incharge of our future. Help our Children to Achieve. |
| 4/18/2004 | parent | I am very disappointed with this school. Most of the children here are ready below grade average. It's not challenging my son at all. I feel this school is very ladback, they need a more structured program. I wish I could play my son in a school outside of this district where he will have a chance to develop and not be bored. Wait for the day to end. |
